“A disc is a game you actually own." More than 200,000 people have signed a petition urging Sony to keep physical game discs. On July 1, Sony announced it will stop producing discs for new releases by January 2028, saying more players are choosing digital downloads. The petition comes from Jade Pearce, CEO of Canadian independent video game retailer @PNPGames. Nintendo's stock is crashing again for the 2nd time in as many months. 🤯 Given they announced only 1 big new title (Xenoblade) from a series that constantly flops, and 4 remasters, it's totally understandable, investors thought more was coming, even xbox games... Nothing.
