The school has been open for a full academic year at this point and the M6 have been going outside of Equestria for friendship missions for longer and they still all try take on the White Man's Burden. Incredibly based imo.

There is also the scale to consider, Starlight and Trixie both get redeemed but in the grand scheme of things their evil was localised or had greater unintended consequences. Cozy was doing something civilisation destroying.
