i thought the goal on Axis was to control the robot well
but it turns out, sometimes the best move is to not touch it
i tried the post-training mode amd this part caught my attention
the robot gets control first… you just watch it attempt the task
if it succeeds on its own, great. if it starts making a mistake, then you take over and correct it
@axisrobotics gives you 30 seconds of total manual takeover time, so randomly grabbing the controls isn’t really the move
the interesting part is that your score also depends on how much of the run the policy handled itself
so the ideal contribution isn’t to control this robot perfectly
it’s to find the exact moment whwre this policy needs help
that makes Axis feel less like a robot game and more like a live robot policy debugging environment
you’re basically helping the model discover its own weak spots
and those weak spots become the next batch of training data
that’s the part of Axis Hub i think more people should actually try

Crypto financial infrastructure has been operating under extreme paranoia that 24/7 bots are trying to hack it, by virtue of it being accessible by anyone, open source, and largely immutable. Some successfully, others not.
Since February, everyone serious in crypto has been running 24/7 agents against their code, either themselves or by employing 3p red teamers who are basically prompting for them with some extra tricks / known exploit databases etc (which are also public).
We have been operating an internal tool for this as well, called Cyclops, you can find it doing work in our repos @tempo.
The rest of the world is about to experience this, and everybody will need to introduce 24/7 agents to defend themselves.
The new meta will be that there'll be a minimum $ defense token spend that you'll need to release any kind of software. Hopefully, open models will make that minimum $ cost low enough that this doesn't raise the barrier to entry to production-grade software.
