Honored to be invited to the reception dinner hosted by Ambassador Brat, and great to hear the importance (still! :)) of innovations and collaborations~
It's official: Ambassador Brat presented his credentials to Governor-General, Her Excellency Sam Mostyn AC in a ceremony on Tuesday, before getting straight to work advancing President Trump's priorities, which include deepening the U.S.-Australia Alliance.
His first official visit was to the Australian War Memorial (AWM), where he and his wife Laura laid a wreath. AWM Director Matt Anderson gave profoundly moving testimony about the sacrifice made by Australian service members. For more than a century, our nations have stood together in times of conflict and peace.
In the evening, Ambassador Brat hosted a reception for the finalists of the 2026 AmCham Alliance Awards, recognizing the emerging industry leaders and innovators helping to strengthen our alliance.
“Our two nations are investing in each other more than ever before, and our economic ties have never been stronger,” Ambassador Brat said.
Happy to be supported by this fellowship to advance distributed protocols/infrastructure to make our Internet and digital economy better. Thanks to all my mentors and mentees :)

CRYPTO26 is happening now, we have two interesting results to share: 1. morphic accumulators that resolves the tension between "security" and "structure"; 2. ~optimal hash based ACS/MVBA, to repeat the success of recent async consensus using hash only.

finally someone stands up .... to make broadcast channels visible again ... :)
Replying to @badcryptobitch
What are we lacking in our secure channels? Seems like we have a lot of options. I’d cite the relentless rug-sweeping of broadcast channels as being O(1) as one of the biggest sins.
great to be part of MathQuEST led by @monsoon0 , and will work harder to lead the security theme to make real progress in next few years ~~

With @motiyung @YaNanLI_t , we wrote about why and how we have end to end security for git service and more now, results will be presented at @acm_ccs next week.
End-to-end encryption is the gold standard to protect data – and now it can be used beyond messaging platforms such as Signal. @QiangTang7 @Sydney_Uni theconversation.com/the-worl…
who wants to chat with friends while there is always a camera peeking? accountability does not have to fully compromise end to end security ...

online collaboration is always like bathing in a glass room.. now finally with a frosted glass... also the "digital supply-chain security" is as important ~ with @YaNanLI_t @motiyung, and yaqing. Many many interesting questions remain, both theory and practice.

After two fierce rejs, our first hash based MVBA with optimal complexities seems to be liked :) eprint.iacr.org/2024/479 when there is no heavy hammers, things get tricky; hope our other even stronger result eprint.iacr.org/2024/1710 ends up with a less bumpy life ...
