The recent French riots appear to be heavily orchestrated rather than a spontaneous, organic outburst of public discontent.
The real underlying issue is the deteriorating French government debt markets—particularly the short- and long-dated bonds (such as the 1-year, 2-year, and 30-year maturities)—which face serious stress due to excessive debt levels.
Authorities do not want widespread attention on these debt problems. If the public does notice, the preferred narrative is that any market turmoil is simply a reaction to the riots and social unrest, rather than a reflection of unsustainable borrowing and fiscal deterioration.
In this context, there is a risk that policymakers will respond to the debt pressures by expanding the money supply further. To offset the immediate inflationary impact of that new money, they may impose martial law, travel restrictions, or lockdown-style measures.
These restrictions would suppress demand in the short term, potentially accompanied by the failure or distress of a counterparty bank or other financial institution.
The resulting chaos would serve as cover for channeling fresh liquidity primarily to favored large banks (the “bulge bracket”). Through the Cantillon effect, those who receive the new money first can deploy it to acquire assets before broader price increases occur, concentrating the benefits among the chosen institutions.

“The problem is you were playing by the rules in a lobby where nobody else does.” The State hates you. And it taxes you like a bloodbag.
Your name is Jean-Marc, you’re 46, and you run a video game and collectibles shop in Nice, wedged between an optician and a real estate agency selling 1-bed flats for €410,000 “with sea view” if you lean far enough off the balcony.
You know every GTA San Andreas cheat by heart. You tested all of them in 2005 on the PS2 in your bedroom at your mum’s place.
You opened in 2011 with a state-backed loan at 4.7%, and the naive belief that passion eventually pays.
It did pay, sort of. €1,900 a month in a good year, after the French tax office has eaten first, second and third. Your commercial rent is indexed on a formula nobody in the Republic actually understands.
You sell Funko Pops at €17.99, sealed Pokémon cards, refurbished controllers. You let little Enzo, 12, pay in installments because he’s saving for a Switch 2. You close at 7:30pm and walk home because the harbor parking is €3.40 an hour.
Saturday, there’s a protest “against the cost of living.”
You also think living costs too much. You almost went.
At 5:12pm, your metal shutter gets ripped open with a crowbar.
Forty teenagers in tracksuits and crossbody bags walk into your shop like it’s a bonus level. They take the PS5s, the Dragon Ball figures, the till with today’s €280 and even the box of paper bags that say “thank you for your visit.”
A guy in a floral shirt films it vertically for TikTok.
You step outside and say “stop, this is my shop.”
You get hit from behind.
Then rocks.
They laugh. Floral shirt guy is thrilled: good angle, good lighting.
Sunday morning, the police tell you there are “1,400 arrests nationwide” and they won’t send a squad for some Funko Pops. Filing the complaint takes 2 hours 40. The officer types with two fingers on Windows 7.
Monday noon, your insurer reminds you that your €1,140-a-year policy has a €3,000 deductible and a “riots and civil commotion” exclusion on page 31, font size 6.
Saturday night, an MP explains on TV that “the anger is legitimate” and we “shouldn’t cry over shop windows.” He’s never owned a shop window. He has a state-funded apartment.
Sunday, your limited edition Vegeta figures show up on Vinted. “Brand new, never opened, €39, pickup in North Nice.”
The seller has 4.9 stars.
Monday, the tax office emails you. They haven’t heard about the riots. They’ve heard about your payment deadline.
You did everything right, Jean-Marc. That was never the problem.
The problem is you were playing by the rules in a lobby where nobody else does.
So stop believing in the State. It’s not coming to save you. It’s coming to collect.
Stop voting. Every five years they hand you the controller, and it’s never plugged in.
Go to the gym. Not for revenge. For you. Because when the system folds, the only asset nobody can loot is the one you built under a barbell.
And make money they can’t see. Cash, side hustles, sats on a cold wallet in a sock drawer. Not your keys, not your coins. Not your shop, not your loss.
Fuck the system, Jean-Marc.
It already did it to you first.
Open borders + state welfare = disaster
These two things cannot coexist within a society without destroying it.
When millions of low-skill workers flood a labor market simultaneously, wages at the bottom compress. Supply and demand operate exactly as advertised. George Borjas ran the numbers on the 1980 Mariel boatlift: 125,000 Cubans hit Miami in under six months, and wages for native high school dropouts fell measurably. The market eventually adjusts, but "eventually" is cold comfort when your paycheck shrinks this quarter.
The fiscal damage compounds separately from the wage effect. A low-income household in California consumes roughly $30,000 annually in state and federal services, schooling, healthcare, and transfer payments, while paying perhaps $4,000 in taxes. Multiply that gap across millions of arrivals and you have a structural deficit that your children inherit as debt.
Welfare states and open borders cannot coexist indefinitely. The tax-funded magnet subsidizes arrival and rewards dependency. Destroy the welfare state, and mass migration becomes a straightforward story of voluntary exchange, workers seeking employers, capital seeking labor. Keep the welfare state and open the gates, and you are simply voting to transfer wealth from working taxpayers to a federal distribution apparatus.
The hard question is never "should people move freely?" It is who owns the tab when they arrive.
Rome collapsed because Romans stopped enforcing the conditions that made Roman citizenship worth anything. The same is happening to France right now.
The Western Empire's third- and fourth-century emperors, desperate for tax revenue and military manpower, settled entire Gothic and Frankish tribal confederacies inside the limes without demanding assimilation, military oaths, or any meaningful integration into Roman economic life. In 382 AD, Theodosius I settled roughly 100,000 Visigoths in the Balkans under their own chieftains, exempt from Roman law. They owed Rome nothing, and they acted accordingly. By 410, Rome fell.
The Austro-Hungarian Empire ran a version of the same experiment. Vienna absorbed millions of Slavic, Magyar, and Romanian subjects into a single fiscal and administrative unit without establishing coherent property rights or common rule of law across ethnicities. Capital fled the peripheral regions because contract enforcement varied by ethnicity and political connection. The empire spent itself policing internal tensions rather than producing anything.
Open borders can work when you couple them with private property, enforceable contracts, and zero access to a welfare state. Every historical collapse involved governments absorbing populations onto public land, public payroll, or public grain dole. Welfare states and open borders function as a single detonator, not two separate policies.
It would be a real shame if some “students” brought some “scuffles” to CBS offices, wouldn’t it?

To every American, and to everyone watching France burn from abroad:
Do not blame the French people for this.
We never asked for it. We never voted for it. And the one time we were clearly asked, we said no.
Here are the numbers your media won't show you.
70% of the French say there are too many immigrants in France today.
79% want a tougher immigration policy.
77% disapprove of the government's record on immigration.
83% want foreign criminals and long-term unemployed foreigners sent home.
And no, it's not just the old. 69% of French 18 to 24 year olds support suspending legal immigration for three years.
This is not a fringe. This is the French people.
In 2005, we were asked if we wanted the European Constitution. 55% voted no. Three years later, our politicians passed the same text under another name, through parliament, without ever asking us again.
That is modern France in one sentence. The people say no. The elites do it anyway.
So who is responsible? The politicians who lied to us. A class of leaders formed in the same schools, the same forums, the same networks, loyal to each other before they are loyal to their nations.
In 2017, at Harvard, Klaus Schwab, founder of the World Economic Forum, bragged about his Young Global Leaders program in four words: "We penetrate the cabinets." He added that it was true in France. Emmanuel Macron was one of his Young Global Leaders.
It's the same project in Brussels with Ursula von der Leyen and in Paris with Macron. Borders treated as an obstacle. Nations treated as relics. The people treated as a problem to be managed.
What you are watching in France is not the French people failing. It is the end of the globalist project, an abject, quasi-communist dream of a world run by unelected planners. It is collapsing everywhere in Europe at once, and the West has to cut this cancer out before it takes the rest of the body with it.
The peoples of Europe don't want this. They never did.
So when you see our town halls burning, don't say "the French chose this."
The French never chose this.
They were forced into it.
If you're French and you agree, repost this so the world hears it from us.
If you're American, look at us carefully. Then choose differently on November 3rd.
Before this is over, France gon need to get them guillotines out again. And some of their slave masters may learn the hard way. youtu.be/GjwKEmL1NSo?si=8TOv…

Richard Werner's Princes of the Yen, both the 2003 book and the 2014 documentary, delivers something central banks prefer you never piece together: they manufacture credit to reshape economies, and they do it deliberately, without democratic mandate.
Werner spent years inside the Bank of Japan and documented how BoJ governors used "window guidance" from the 1980s onward to direct commercial bank lending, first into productive sectors, then into asset speculation, creating the bubble, then deliberately strangling credit to burst it. The resulting 1990s depression gave Tokyo's bureaucratic elite the political leverage to ram through deregulation and structural reforms the public had rejected at the ballot box. Crisis as policy tool.
This is textbook credit expansion theory. New money conjured through the banking system distorts the capital structure, generating malinvestments that must eventually liquidate. Mises and Hayek mapped this mechanism decades before Werner observed it happen in real time in Tokyo.
The documentary makes this accessible to anyone willing to sit with seventy minutes of uncomfortable institutional history. Central banks present themselves as neutral technocrats. Werner shows you the men, the meetings, the deliberate choices.
The broader implication lands hard. Every major central bank operates with identical legal insulation from accountability. The Federal Reserve, the ECB, the BoE: none of them answer to you when they redirect credit, inflate asset prices, and then let the crash discipline the population into accepting reforms.
Japan was/is a demonstration of the model working exactly as designed.
