A calculator that won't give you the answer until you've made a sensible estimate. 25 × 37? 100: no. 800: no. 900: yes. It's 925. For every teacher who worries calculators stop thinking. qama.world

Did you know? The QAMA calculator has a 7-day, no quibbles, money back guarantee. So, try the QAMA and if it's not useful for you, get your money back. Simple!

We'd love to know as well! Why would you NOT use a QAMA? What does a traditional calculator give you that is better than the functionality of the QAMA?
Teach mathematics or use mathematics in the classroom (like during science)? I need reasons why you would NOT use a QAMA calculator either at the front of the class for use during teaching, or as the sole calculator on any device provided to a student or accessed by a student during classtime. What is it? take a look at qama.world Really.

what does a 'reasonable estimate' mean for those using the QAMA calculator? Well, for some calculations, the ONLY reasonable estimate should be the exact answer!

NO 'calculator fail' with the QAMA calculator, even when spiced up with decimals. Use the 'each' mode for better effect.

Regarding calculators - think of the QAMA not as a scaffold that users cling to, climbing that to progress. Think of it more as an invisible climbing safety line - the user HAS to do the work, but if they fail… the safety line quietly helps them get back on track. @rastokke

An example. For multiplication and whole number addition. The power of the QAMA is that what is regarded as a ‘reasonable estimate’ is sometime the exact answer. Sometimes a wide range. It all depends. QAMA.world tells all!

Did you know you can use the QAMA on a desktop/laptop and easily float it above other pages for easy access. Great for projecting in front of a class. Whatever the subject!

qama.world gives you all the info. Including estimation guides and why its so important. p.s. the QAMA is the only calculator that actually supports users remembering their times tables! No cognitive surrender here.

How do you break calculator addiction? You change the rules of the device. QAMA.world calculator requires a reasonable mental approximation before displaying any final result. No estimation, no answer. Simple as that.

As educators, we ask "Does your answer make sense?" But in reality, once the screen shows a number, critical thinking stops. QAMA.world reverses this. It embeds the estimation into the device itself as a structural routine that builds lifelong number sense.

Nice activity - here’s how the QAMA adds an extra dimension to help students think. (Do you always have to use the 8, eight times? Or could you use it just 4 times for example?)

Estimation Hint: When estimating a problem like $65.86 x 21, teach students to round to easier numbers. Try $65 x 20 = 1300. On a standard calc, a typo could yield a wild response & the student wouldn't notice. On QAMA, entering 1300 as an estimate unlocks the true answer.

"The calculator that thinks only if you think too." Unlike standard calculators, QAMA.world is designed specifically for math pedagogy. By forcing a mental estimate before revealing the precise answer, it transforms an unthinking reflex into a daily math workout.
