From Coding Agents to General Agents
🧑💻 Before (coding):
- In coding, over 90% of code is now generated by AI / SI.
- Generation becomes cheap.
- The scarce resource is the engineer who can still hold the system in their head, spot the subtle wrongness, decide what not to ship, and own the outcome when something breaks in production.
- AI doesn’t reduce total engineering effort as much as it changes the shape of it — less typing, more judgment and integration.
🚀 Now (general agents):
- The intuitive non-engineering version like @bot is arriving faster than most orgs are ready for.
- AI agents well integrated into the work spaces can reliably pull data, run analyses, draft proposals, summarize meetings, and generate options.
- The volume of “plausible work product” will explode.
- The bottleneck moves from production to selection, prioritization, and ownership.
💰 Value
The value is no longer in generating analysis, insights, or ideas. It is in:
1. Defining the problem tightly enough that the bot isn’t optimizing the wrong thing.
2. Having enough domain context to know when the analysis is directionally wrong even if the numbers look clean.
3. Being willing to say “this is good enough, we’re doing it” (or “this is noise, ignore it”) and then actually drive the execution.
4. Accepting accountability when the thing that was easy to generate turns out to be expensive or wrong to act on.
The transformation is happening and accelerating. 🚀
Sometimes I wonder why politics swings like a pendulum in almost every country.
Maybe because new generations lack historical knowledge (or baggage), most people have short memories of how bad the other side was, and nostalgia sets in.
Forgetting helps humans and society heal, but it can also be exploited, sigh.
Hoping peace and prosperity will prevail on this planet.
Tried the iPhone Duo today.
Not buying it, but if @Apple sells a same-sized thin iPad, I’ll replace my iPad mini right away.
I love @Apple. 10+ Apple devices at home, iPhone 17 Pro in my pocket.
iPhone Duo has great engineering, huge respects.
But I still haven’t found a reason to replace my current iPhone.
Maybe I should look at the product first and then form an opinion.
Wow, @HTX_Studio ’s iPhone Duo review is on another level.
The technical detail and visuals are extremely dense — hinge mechanics, crease measurements, sustained thermal/GPU behavior, dual UTG layers, the works. Solid POV at the end too.
It makes a lot of the big YouTube reviews (including @MKBHD ) look surface-level by comparison.
That said, it probably won’t impact viewership for YouTubers like MKBHD.
Most people aren’t looking for hardcore technical analysis. They want a trusted opinion leader to anchor on so they can form their own POV quickly.
Different audience, different job.
Still, hats off to HTX. Loved it.
About 1,000 years ago, a Chinese Zen master shared this three-stage teaching:
看山是山
看山不是山
看山还是山
“Before studying Zen for thirty years, I saw mountains as mountains and waters as waters.
With more intimate knowledge, I saw that mountains are not mountains and waters are not waters.
Now that I have grasped its substance, I am at rest. I see mountains once again as mountains and waters once again as waters.”
People’s tech perceptions usually follow the same path: cool and exciting, then nothing new and overhyped, then realizing it was actually cool and changed the world.
I still like @MKBHD’s videos, find him authentic, and value his perspectives on tech products.
I hope and believe he will feel differently about tech in a few years or decades.
I work for @elonmusk’s tech company. It is an honor to witness him pushing the boundaries of tech and innovation. Building is hard—especially building the future and inspiration—and worth celebrating.
This is not a car, but a rocket people can actually buy and drive. So damn cool. 🤯

Every social surface on the internet is in a state of constant entropy. Its default state is to decay and turn into slop. The only way a public space can endure is to be fighting tooth-and-nail every hour for its survival.
Another masterpiece ads from @ajinomoto
It starts from a working dad’s lens: the stacked weight of work and family, the constant low-grade “sorry,” and the love ♥️ that still sits underneath it.
A full minute that moves from the shareable everyday tension into the small release at dinner that lets the warm food and the happiness land, then the product.
Who uses it, for whom, when, and why are all carried by the emotion itself—the product as the quiet ally that buys back a little of the present moment instead of just solving dinner.
The expressions are subtle and lived-in; that depth is the same secret sauce you find in the better Japanese films.
Well done. @ajinomoto @AJINOMOTOPARK
