At burnout job, I made the mistake of voicing my concerns when I was confused why I was being treated differently from my peers. Other people would have taken note, but I asked questions. I trusted and respected everyone. I thought a conversation would ease my anxiety.

Avoid immediately: - Assuming it’s an emergency situation - Deciding the person is behaving or thinking “irrationally” and there is no point engaging with them - Isolating the person or removing from community - Rushing to medicate - Trying to “prove” that they are wrong

"Intersectionality is a uniting framework...Black people are not just straight. They're not just men. They're not just middle class. When we expand our understanding of Black reality...it means we have connections with other movements and other people."

I know what people are trying to highlight by saying things like "some ppl can't afford to be depressed because they'd end up on the streets" but it also glosses over just how many people do end up unhoused for that very reason

I'm devastated for Brittney Griner and her family. For months, we have failed to free her while she was inhumanely detained. A Black, Queer woman is being exploited as a political pawn of war and unjustly imprisoned. She deserves freedom and safety. #JusticeForBrittneyGriner
