A new report by @SunLifeUK finds the av. cost of the attended funeral they track is at a record high. Funeral costs can cause people to cut back on food and struggle with rent. It’s why we set up Down to Earth, the only UK-wide support service for people facing funeral poverty.

When someone dies and there is no-one able or willing to arrange the funeral, councils must provide one. But in reality, provision is a postcode lottery. Thank you @prospect_uk for sharing our Down to Earth report on this issue & raising awareness. #funeralpoverty
