Paan spitting is ruining our streets, and costing the Council more than £30,000 a year to put right.
❌ Enough is enough.
We're putting more enforcement officers on the street, dishing out bigger fines, and helping people quit it for good.

🚨 BREAKING: Labour to scrap the two-child cap and tax gambling firms
The Chancellor has just announced a package of measures to boost economic growth and tackle poverty in the UK, including a new tax on gambling operators.
Labour will always work to make things fairer. 🌹
Gambling firms made an eyewatering £12.6bn last year - £700m of that from Adult Gaming Centres.
We passed a motion last month calling for urgent reform to the two-child cap, paid for by a fair gambling tax.
It's time to redress the balance.

Today, the Chancellor announced that the Labour government is scrapping the two-child limit, lifting hundreds of thousands of children out of poverty across the country.
This will be life-changing for almost 4,000 children in Queen's Park and Maida Vale, who will be given the fair start in life that every child deserves.
Labour choices in action.

No child in Brent should go hungry because of the cost-of-living crisis.
That's why your Brent Labour council has extended our food voucher scheme, meaning low-income families receive the support they need.
Labour will always work hard to tackle poverty in Brent. 🌹

Your Brent Labour councillors have raised over 19,000 casework enquiries on behalf of local residents since we were elected back in May 2022.
That's enough to fill Wembley Arena - twice.
We're getting the things done that matter to you.
