It’s true that our expectations have become bigger once Habas showed us that even with lesser known Indian footballers we are capable of competing at the AFC level. This certainly a big improvement from last season but we have to keep getting better if EB want to be taken…..

✅There is definitely a major disconnect between what authorities are doing for fans and what is actually needed by fans to show up at the stadium. You cannot expect fans to show up & then struggle severely to return home at 10 pm on weekend, from KB stadium.

May be Anthony should take up the matter with the club officials and see if some arrangements could be made for the fans to show up for EB’s AFC ties. Have this feeling that a little bit of effort on behalf of the fans could go a long way

Nothing ! Just an appeal that being a family member, come to the stadium, watch East Bengal at 8 pm & then either return home after midnight or sleep on the roads around KB stadium to be picked up by a bulldozer.

It is and given the schedule are the stakeholders going to make any special arrangements to make the fans’ commute (to and fro) more convenient?

Every day there are 2 matches. The 1st match starts at 2 pm while the 2nd match starts at 8 pm. Why East Bengal has to play at 8 pm in November ? Why can´t EB´s match start at 5 pm on Saturday & Sunday ? For regular fans returning home at 10 pm is tough from KB stadium.

….fans would have felt a bit more loved and cared for. High time that the stakeholders need to ponder whether the teams are playing football for themselves or for the fans. If the latter is true then they should make things more convenient for fans to show up at the venue

The scheduling is probably beyond Anthony’s control. He and the EB ladies deserve every bit of support from the fans. It’s only that the other stakeholders prefer to overlook fans’ convenience while scheduling or hosting the games. If they had a little bit of sense perhaps….

It seems Habas is not yet convinced that all 6 foreigners have acquired the fitness level to play in ACL 2 & have combined adequately with team mates, to deliver in ACL 2. All the 3 ACL 2 competitors are established squads with ample experience of playing AFC matches.

But what is the point of having foreign players when the coach is not using them !

Did you ever see any of the dancing, cheerleader fan clubs of EB request for any betterment of service for general fans? Do you see them request for a time change that suits common fans? All their concern is entry for tifo & drums so that they can dance like headless chicken.

DD, the highly respected official of legacy Mohun Bagan told that ever since MB merged with ATK in 2020, till last year, all coaches of ATKMB / MBSG, highly insulted & ignored the rich history of legacy of Mohun Bagan. They only focused on legacy & pride of ATK / SG

Its good that KF chose a non-critical, low profile slot for sponsorship on the kit of MBSG. Thanks to KF for sponsoring a critical, high profile slot on the jersey of East Bengal.

Lets simply focus on playing well in the remaining 3 ACL 2 matches.Just because Al Shorta & Al Hussein have world cuppers,do not think that Al Seeb is an ISL team. In 2022, 4 years ago,Al Seeb had won ACL 2. Lets play well against Seeb on Nov 3 in Kolkata the-afc.com/en/club/afc_cup/…

Next time consider inviting East Bengal FC for these type of tournaments in the Gulf instead of clubs which have 100 creative reasons to skip a match. It would be a pleasure for East Bengal FC to play tournaments in the Middle East Asia.

WHAT A WEIRD SITUATION IN THE GULF CLUB CHAMPIONS LEAGUE! 👀 Al-Ettifaq were supposed to face an Iraqi club today at 5:30 PM, but THEY DIDN’T EVEN TRAVEL TO IRAQ! Al-Ettifaq released a statement saying they had explained their reasons to the Gulf Football Federation and requested a postponement, but the federation issued no response. Meanwhile, the Iraqi club and referees arrived at the stadium and took to the pitch at the scheduled kickoff time. After waiting for Al-Ettifaq, the referee blew his whistle to signal their absence, with the match expected to be awarded 3–0 TO THE IRAQI CLUB! AND NOBODY KNOWS WHAT FURTHER PUNISHMENT THE GULF FEDERATION MIGHT IMPOSE!

East Bengal Women would do pretty well in the upcoming AFC Women Championship that would be held in Kolkata in early November. The Men´s team is doing pretty well in AFC , considering the poor history of Indian clubs in AFC tournaments for men.

The match would end at 10 pm. Why can´t East Bengal´s match start at 5 pm or even at 2 pm considering it is Nov? Most fans find it tough to return home if match ends at 10 at KBS. Personally,I would not have gone & the reason is inconvenient match timing.May be some fans would go

Club & stadium authorities need to think on this and make it happen. Its doable. More so, there MUST be battery operated vehicles inside the stadium to support senior fans & fans with mobility challenge. How much money it takes to install elevators at stadium? Its a MUST in 2026

Why don’t they make a provision for having shuttles every 20 mins after the games at YBK to the closest metro station or major junctions. Even if they include a small fee for that in the ticket prices don’t think the fans would mind like the convenience fee they might be….

Its OK. Its clear that we need to gradually build up our 2nd unit. Until recently we did not even have a decent 1st unit. Now that we have a 1st unit,we know that we need to develop a 2nd unit so that we can consistently perform well at both ISL and AFC.

Even the best of the footballers world over get affected by this and the outcome often is in favor of teams that aren’t playing continental tournaments. For this a team needs to have a deep roster with each player ready to play 90 mins on any given day. Feel that EB’s 2nd unit…
