I wrote about Amazon Prime's "Raakh," and how the relationship between the two villains is the perfect allegory of the relationship between a certain evil political ideology and their blind followers.

The violence and chaos inside the SRFTI campus are utterly deplorable. Unfortunately, expecting the administration or police to take action against the RSS goons feels futile.

Please don’t reduce the Express report to a “compromised ECI" only .
Put the gaze on the Supreme Court too.
It allowed an executive-heavy appointment process, then upheld SIR as a “constitutional duty,” and left the Commission free to decide in the dark.
CEC drafted the licence. The Court issued it. The Court owns this mess too.

The Election Commission of India is under fire like never before.
The SIR has struck 13 crore names off draft rolls, putting the EC at the centre of intense public debate over its role in deciding who gets to vote — and who doesn’t.
HOWEVER, what nobody knew: through that same period, some of the sharpest questions were being asked from inside.
Out today, after months of work. Our #ExpressInvestigation 🧵

With “Ghamasaan,” currently streaming on ZEE5, Tigmanshu Dhulia returns to familiar territory: a gritty crime drama set in the Hindi hinterland. Safe, but engaging.

Chongtham Vikram Singh ji, a renowned musician from Manipur, went downstairs to ask some men to lower the noise outside his home. He was beaten to death for it.
A father, killed outside his own home, in his own country's capital. After many such incidents, every Northeast family in Delhi is asking the same question today - are we safe here?
What are Shah's MHA and Delhi Police doing to stop this growing lawlessness, especially against people from the Northeast?
There must be a swift investigation, and the culprits must be brought to justice. My condolences to Vikram ji's family.

What is happening in Delhi?
IN THE LAST 48 HOURS:
7 students killed in Satya Niketan.
A South Campus gardener electrocuted to death.
Chongtham Vikram Singh, renowned guitarist and music teacher from Manipur, beaten to death.
@AmitShah @gupta_rekha, 48 hours of horror in the capital. Have some shame.
He has defied insurmountable odds many times—in fact, he has made a career out of it. But there are odds that no one can defy: time. And time has finally caught up with Novak Djokovic. People say it often, but for Djokovic, there is truly nothing left to achieve in tennis anymore. That has been the case since the 2024 Olympics.
It is simply his strong desire to play tennis that keeps him going, and we are glad for it. The fact that he has created a cross-generational rivalry with two current all-time greats (Sinner and Alcaraz) is a huge feat in itself. Even this year, he defeated Sinner in a match that will be talked about for years to come (A fading GOAT at their twilight years beating another ATG contender at their peak - it is one of the biggest age-defying performances in sporting history).
But in this US Open, it is clear that playing tennis is no longer fun for him as his body is clearly not agreeing with him. As a fan, my only wish is for one more competitive match against Alcaraz. That would be a fitting way to call it a day. – at Bidhan Nagar, India
Director Joseph T. Walker’s slow-burn commentary on immigration and humanity, “Broken Land,” is a familiar yet poignantly engaging tale, buoyed heavily by a riveting central performance by David Morse.
