An explanation of @TradePools, in (very) simple terms. đ§ľ

every launchpad before this took 1% from your coin and kept it. @uniswap doesnât need your fees to survive, so they built one with 0.25% fees where 80% goes back into your coinâs own liquidity. the more your coin trades, the deeper its own pool gets
the volume that used to enrich the platform now enriches the coin itself
thatâs not an incremental improvement, thatâs a completely different model
uniswap just launched a token launchpad and itâs actually the biggest change to âlaunchpad warsâ
every launchpad before this had the same problem: mandatory fees that extract value from the coin. 1% on every trade, going to the protocol, going to the deployer, going somewhere that isnât the coin itself. the token generates millions in volume and most of that fee revenue leaves the token that generated it
people tried zero-fee launchpads before. they failed. because a business with no revenue has no incentive to push, promote, or maintain the platform. the launchpad dies because nobodyâs motivated to keep it alive. fees are the business model and the business model is what funds the growth
but uniswap doesnât need launchpad fees to survive. theyâre the largest DEX in crypto. theyâve been the infrastructure layer for 8 years. they donât need to extract 1% from your memecoin to keep the lights on
so for the first time, someone with real distribution and real staying power built a launchpad with zero extractive fees
- hereâs how pools.trade works:
the only fee is the standard 0.25% uniswap v4 protocol fee that exists on every v4 pool anyway. no additional launchpad tax on top. that alone makes the spread for traders significantly better than every other launchpad
then 80% of that fee autocompounds back into the liquidity pool. permanently locked. the coinâs own trading activity makes its own liquidity deeper over time. automatically. the pool grows with every trade without anyone adding more capital
and 20% goes to the creator, enough incentive to deploy and maintain the project, but small enough that the coin itself is the primary beneficiary of its own volume
think about what this means. on any other launchpad, the platform takes 1% of every trade. on a coin doing $10M in volume thatâs $100K extracted from the token
the volume that used to enrich the launchpads now enriches the coins. the deeper the pool gets, the harder it is to dump, the more stable the chart, the more confidence traders have entering with size.
itâs a flywheel that feeds itself
and the distribution is uniswap-tier from day one
but the foundation is right. zero extraction, autocompounding liquidity, and uniswapâs entire infrastructure behind it
the launchpad wars just changed

Incredibly excited for the launch of @TradePools!!
This rollout has been absolutely insane. Degens discovered earlier versions of the smart contracts and traded over $150m in trading volume before the UI even went live
This created a unique challenge where we had to update our site and indexing to support both the earlier test versions and the final versions of the contracts at the same time, which added some additional time to the launch
People have used uniswap as both a launchpad and launchpad infra for over 8 years. We're excited to be building alongside all the other launchpads to move the space forward
What most sets Pools.trade apart?
- no added launchpad fee, just the normal protocol fee that comes with all v4 pools. This makes the launch pool way better for traders, with total spreads far lower than most launchpads
- autocompounding liquidity (excited to bring this feature to normal Uniswap LPing as well)
- permanently locked liquidity for all launches
- two launch methods: instant launch works similar to other launchpads, and crowd launch simplifies what we built with CCA to create a fairer, more bundle resistant launch method
- deep integrations and distribution: Pools has day one support across uniswap web app, wallet, trading api, all third party trading api integrations, bitget, fomo, gmgn, okx wallet, etc, with more coming online rapidly
Have seen various takes claiming incorrect fee splits - to be clear the 0.25% LP fees autocompounds to the locked liquidity pool, it does not go to the uniswap team. This becomes 20% to the creator and 80% to the liquidity compounding mechanism
Uniswap Labs team has been cooking hard on this one but its still in beta. We intend to ship a constant stream of upgrades and improvements from here. So please share any feedback!!

For my first post, Iâm sharing a letter @NVIDIA signed on why open models matter.
AI will transform every industry, power every company, and be built by every country.
Open models strengthen safety and cybersecurity, accelerate innovation and diffusion, and enable sovereignty.
The world needs both frontier closed models and frontier open models.

Trump made the call. FIFA bent the rule. Balogun came back.
And Belgium still sent the hosts home 4-1.
The United States had the home crowd, the flag, the hype, the phone call, and the second chance. Belgium had the pressure, the finish, the Red Devils, and the waffles hot enough to cook the whole back line.
You can bend the rule, but you cannot bend the game.
Cheated and defeated.
Bye bye bye.
