No parent should ever have to endure what Ian Russell and his family have been through. They have been so incredibly brave. Online safety for our children and young people needs to be a prerequisite, not an afterthought. W

Today I gave 25 bottles of breast milk to the @BWH_NHS milk bank. It took hours of sterilising and pumping whilst looking after my 6 month old baby. It may not be cool, but I am proud. I hope it helps some new babies who need it soon. 🙏

Learning techniques and positions that optimise physiology- that’s how you resolve a labour dystocia. Physiology informed solutions work, of course they do 😊

Self care has become a buzz word that covers a range of things. It’s not a sticky plaster, it’s a skill. In the absence of not being taught how to do this, then working in health and social care can be much tougher than what it should be.

It was just ten minutes.
Ten minutes is a good long cuddle with a newborn grandchild.
Ten minutes is enough to hug and giggle with a close friend to lighten a difficult day.
Ten minutes is time to touch, hug and say farewell to a dying parent.
But we didn’t get ten minutes
