Ukraine should publicly apologise and is in the wrong on this one.
However, it appears South Korea, is being accused of trading with Russia. If this is true, it is totally wrong. Immoral and Stupid springs to mind.
❗️South Korea says it received an apology from Ukraine over the disclosure that two North Korean POWs had been transferred to Seoul, but Foreign Minister Cho Hyun said it fell short of expectations. Cho said Seoul intends to take “firm measures” and is considering options including recalling its ambassador to Ukraine. South Korea maintains that both sides had agreed to keep the transfer confidential to protect the soldiers and their families in North Korea. #Ukraine

PM Burnham is considering delaying a decision about when the government will increase defence spending until the autumn of next year in the hope that Britain’s economy improves. I’m sure Britain’s many enemies will give him the breathing space he requires to make up his mind. It’s not as if it’s a dangerous world.
I think this is an entirely fair post @wesstreeting .
It is the case that Labour historically is not entirely honest with facts and figures. Frequently re announcing previously announced funding etc.
Why do this @wesstreeting? What matters is what you do not what you say.
Replying to @wesstreeting
@wesstreeting Wes stop misleading the public. You know i said “that both Labour and Conservatives hollowed out defence for 30 years.” Your constant editing of the quote while imposing real term cuts to todays RDEL exposes that fact that this Labour defence team are fundamentally dishonest with the our nation’s defence. The “tucking under” of 0.4% of GDP and pretending to the media it is also “defence spending” shows that you are part of a government that puts benefits above our nations security.

Update: The White House tried to enlist other news outlets to take Politico’s place on Trump's trip today, but "it was unable to find a replacement," so "there is no primary print pooler on this trip." cnn.com/2026/10/05/media/pol…

Extremely weird article.
If you don't want to fight in the trenches, you have a lot of options:
- go do some paperwork for the government - exempt from draft
- go work in military technology - exempt from draft
- go work in economically important facility (not coffee shop)
- go serve in non-combat role (in Lviv, for example).
But someone would write a fucking whole article why some guy is not willing to sacrifice just a bit of his comfort to help protect everything dear to him - his home, his family, his culture.
Weird, really weird.

I call on @withkimbyungjoo to apologize for what his country has done to Ukraine by shipping critically important jet fuel to Russia to aid with the war against Ukrainians.
None of the SK citizens knew about it.
Is South Korea an ally of Russia now?

Surely this is corrupt behaviour?
"Trump will back down sometimes," @jmart says after the president reversed course on taxpayer funded ads. "And when there's backlash from his own party, he sometimes does take an exit ramp. And he did tonight."

They only do the right thing when they get caught doing the wrong thing.
Just like his son is now paying for the wedding party that Putin's friend originally paid for.
Hats off to our independent media!
And that's, of course, why Trump doesn't want them around.
President Trump announced that he will begin paying for the controversial slate of promotional ad spots — which had previously been funded by U.S. taxpayers — using his own money or funds raised by a pro-Trump super PAC. washingtonsun.com/whitehouse…
If true that is terrible news for South Korea's reputation, security and future.
'Do as you would like to be done by' is a reasonable principle to behold.
🚨 South Korea has shipped 176,000 tons of fuel to Russia, mostly diesel, using sanctioned Russian shadow fleet tankers in July and August 2026.
This is why the South Korean government created a fake scandal attacking Zelensky over North Korean POWs.

Wow. @TheGreenParty officially denies the right of the Jewish people to self-determination and a national homeland, including as part of a two-state solution.
Shame on you for trying to make antisemitism mainstream. I hope British voters respond with clarity and resolve.

I take death threats from Putin’s regime seriously. I spent 10 years in his prison and have no illusions.
🧵 Here’s what the West needs to understand about the risks facing Russia’s opposition. [1/7]
Here is the thing. The Green Party is a protest vote for a narrow cause.
Don't mistake a vote being for a government, for experience, because they simply don't have it. They haven't thought it through and neither have their voters.
Lots of @TheGreenParty officials posting about how they “don’t agree” with the motion.
We are often asked: “What would you have done when they came for the Jews?”
Well, your party just did.
So either own it or leave it.
Enough with the empty posturing.
Correct and they wont be able to afford occupation either. They have reduced their markets (and profits), increased their output costs, introduced high inflation, high debt and high social costs.
The demographics and funding the new Cold War is going to be ruinously expensive
Russia cannot simultaneously wage war, fight inflation and improve people’s living standards. Ordinary people’s interests are sacrificed first. But the scope for cutting spending unrelated to the war is almost exhausted, and people are not wealthy enough to keep paying more. It looks as though the authorities will try both higher levies and more inflation.

⚡️ Commander Mykhailo Drapatyi, after his appointment, began changing the approach to troop management, according to UP data.
Key changes in the Ukrainian army
▪️Personnel renewal — several dozen colonels, generals, and officers were transferred to the reserve.
▪️Command renewal — Serhiy Sobko and Emil Ishkulov were returned to key positions, and young combat commanders as well as representatives of DShV were also involved.
▪️Decentralization of management — Drapatyi abandoned daily micromanagement and lengthy reports. The focus is on problem analysis, statistics, and finding solutions.
▪️Digitalization — the command increasingly uses the "Delta" system in its work.
▪️"War Plan" — Drapatyi's team prepared a strategic document that has been under review at the RNBO for several weeks.
▪️7th DShV Corps — instead of Volyn, it was sent to the Zaporizhzhia direction amid the intensification of the Russian offensive near Huliaipole.
