Brig. Gen. Andrii Biletskyi says Ukraine’s Operation Vivaldi thwarted Russia’s key strategic objective for 2026. According to him, Moscow planned to encircle the Sloviansk-Kramatorsk agglomeration and link converging offensives near Barvinkove in an effort to seize the Donetsk region. Biletskyi said the operation’s strategic value should be measured not in kilometers gained, but in the fact that Russia’s central plan for the year was disrupted. #Ukraine

I didn't have Russia fielding RP-46 LMG:s on technicals for urban air defense on my bingo card. I seriously thought they dumped all of those to North Korea and Africa. It's a beltfed 7.62x54R so better than many other guns for that job 🤷

“We have responded positively to EVERY ceasefire proposal. Russia's response, time and again, has been ballistic missiles, “shaheds,” and killings. Putin not only doesn't want to end this war – he doesn't even want to take any steps toward de-escalation.” — President Zelenskyy
Another Russian ballistic missile attack came in several waves overnight, and once again, there was no early warning from our partners. They again targeted energy facilities and infrastructure, but a medical clinic, a school, a metro station, and ordinary residential buildings were also damaged. In total, the Russians launched 16 ballistic missiles in a deliberate attack on Kyiv and the Kyiv region. The Russians also launched more than 200 drones of various types, including jet-powered “shaheds,” with attacks spanning from the Kharkiv and Dnipro regions to the Volyn, Rivne, and Odesa regions. Sadly, there are casualties. My condolences to their families and loved ones. Those who were injured are receiving assistance. Overnight and this morning, Russia attacked energy facilities in the Vinnytsia, Volyn, Kirovohrad, Kyiv, Mykolaiv, Zhytomyr, Khmelnytskyi, Kharkiv, Ternopil, Odesa, and Rivne regions. In this one night alone, more than 10 energy infrastructure facilities were damaged, and the lights went out for at least 550,000 families. Repair crews are working at the sites. Ukraine never wanted this war, and we have welcomed literally EVERY attempt by our partners to bring this war to a dignified end. We have responded positively to EVERY ceasefire proposal. Russia's response, time and again, has been ballistic missiles, “shaheds,” and killings. Putin not only doesn't want to end this war – he doesn't even want to take any steps toward de-escalation. EVERY ONE of our partners has experienced this firsthand when they heard Russia's refusals. And it is crucial to call things what they are. To call the aggressor an aggressor and help Ukraine defend lives. When deliveries of missiles for Ukraine's air defense are blocked while Russia is granted relief or delays in sanctions, this is, unfortunately, a denial of reality on the part of our partners. The reality is that the war continues, and it continues solely because of Russian strikes and Russia's desire to drag this war out. I thank everyone who recognizes this reality and helps Ukraine!

The deal being proposed to Ukraine right now is that it withdraws from Donbas and sanctions are lifted on russia in exchange for russia promising not to advance any further. Ukraine gets peace. So Ukraine said, OK, but let's establish guarantees that russia won't advance any further immediately without stopping. The Trump administration refused to provide any, and russia said it wouldn't allow foreign troops to be present on the new line, no foreign country agreed to provide any either. In 1994, Ukraine gave up its nuclear weapons in exchange for security assurances regarding its territorial integrity from russia, the UK, and the USA. Today, the main argument used to justify russia's violation of those assurances and the USA's refusal to help Ukraine is that the 1994 Budapest Memorandum wasn't legally binding, just like russia's promise today not to attack any further. So underneath the shiny peace proposal is nothing but a gift to russia and the conditions for the war to continue.

The US Government are purposely turning off early warning systems in Ukraine which help Putin bomb and murder innocent civilians. The US Government are purposely trying to limit Ukraines ability to strike targets within Russia which limit capabilities of Russias War machine. The US Government are purposely helping Russia hit Ukraines energy infrastructure that would prevent Ukrainian families from freezing to death in the winter. The US Government are sending funds to Russia during a time of war whilst they are invading a western ally. The US Government are removing sanctions placed on Russia allowing them to make more money and fund their war. The US Government are purposely holding weapons back for air defense missiles previously purchased by allies that would be used to protect Ukrainian civilians. NOW ASK YOURSELF WHY.

AFD politicians seem to be GREAT at taking Russian money, and shit at everything else.
🤡 AfD candidate accidentally gives up his own seat on the city council 66-year-old Andreas Blum, a candidate for the far-right Alternative for Germany (AfD), was set to take a seat on the city council of Cloppenburg in Lower Saxony. But he accidentally ticked the box declining the mandate on an official form. The politician signed the document and sent it to the electoral commission. By the time he realized what he had done, it was too late: city authorities confirmed that his decision could not be reversed. “I really wanted to be on the city council. I felt genuinely sick when I found out about the mistake,” the politician admitted. Poor guy. What a shame 😆

Thank you, @SenBlumenthal and @SenThomTillis, for the opportunity to meet with you and your colleagues from both parties and both chambers of Congress. I informed them about Russia’s brutal “shahed” drone attack in the Kharkiv region, where Russia killed six people, including a mother and her child, who was just over a year old. I showed the horrifying photos from the scene – a child killed in a stroller… This is how Russia responds to sanctions waivers and reduced pressure. I also explained where things stand with intelligence sharing and Starlink operations in Ukraine. Unfortunately, we received no early warning from our partners about the first wave of the Russian ballistic missile attack last night. And we still face speed restrictions on Starlink and Starshield services in different parts of the front. No explanation for either of these issues has been provided to Ukraine by the American side. Our teams will follow up on everything discussed today. I thank everybody who participated in this call for their strong support.

russia has run into serious problems with its offensive in Donbas, where its forces have become bogged down. One of the main reasons was that russian logistics had been crippled by Ukrainian drone strikes. This campaign depended heavily on Starlink terminals operating on high-speed Ukrainian drones. russian military command identified this as a critical problem and approached the American side, asking it to restrict the speeds at which Starlink terminals could operate. The argument was simple: there would be little public backlash because the US could still claim that Starlink was operational and that the service was still being provided. The Trump administration agreed to the restrictions, effectively solving a critical battlefield problem for Russia. As a result, russian logistics in Donbas are now safer, and Ukraine has lost an important advantage on the battlefield.

🇺🇦 Zelenskyy delivers a blunt message to the United States: “Just give us Starlink back. If you refuse, Ukraine will survive. We will continue defending ourselves with or without it. But why would you restrict a country fighting for its survival? Why make it harder for us to defend our people? I simply cannot understand the reasoning behind this decision. It is a mistake.” Ukraine isn’t asking America to fight its war. It’s asking America not to stand in the way of its defense.
