Since joining Purdue’s Department of Earth, Atmospheric, and Planetary Sciences in 1994, Harbor has been a transformative force at the university as a professor of environmental geosciences, department head, founding co-director of the Discovery Learning Research Center, and associate vice president for research, among other leadership roles. His unwavering dedication to research and education has resulted in the impactful publication of over 150 peer-reviewed journal articles and three books, backed by esteemed organizations like the National Science Foundation, Environmental Protection Agency, NASA, and numerous international research foundations.
