Bishop Mark Beckman just banned the St. Michael Prayer after Mass—for “noble simplicity.”
Same bishop who already banned the Traditional Latin Mass.
Same spirit, on full display in this video.

Oh boy! I never knew that priest, Jonathan Morris, from FOXNEWS, left the priesthood but I definitely am not surprised he’s coming forward with this! You gotta read it!
”Unlike many lay Catholics, and a small number of seminarians and young priests, most ordained Catholic clergy know that Pope Leo, his predecessor Pope Francis, and the vast majority of American-born bishops, priests, and seminarians today are homosexuals” 😳

Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Jonathan Morris announced in 2019 that he was leaving the priesthood due to long struggles with his vocation and a desire to marry and have a family. He is not the author of or coming forward with the quoted statement about Catholic clergy.

The first 3D printed meat is being sold in America
“It's part of a wave of engineered meat heading for American plates. 5 lab grown producers already cleared and no law requires the label to say it was printed”
The 5 companies that have approval for lab grown meat with cultured animal cells are
So these are the 5 companies?
UPSIDE Foods for chicken
GOOD Meat for chicken
Mission Barns for pork fat
Wildtype for salmon
Believer Meats for chicken
UPSIDE Foods and GOOD Meat cleared USDA and is selling cell-cultivated chicken right now in restaurants, not in grocery stores chains yet
Wildtype’s salmon is FDA cleared and is already on the menu in a handful of restaurants
The company Mission Barns got USDA label and inspection sign-off and already has a limited Sprouts placement in Oakland for products that mix cultivated pork fat into conventional meat
A realistic estimate to when we can start seeing this on the grocery stores shelves would be around 2030
Many of what’s being made is cell cultured meat for restaurants and not 3D printed yet
However plant based 3d printed meat is already on our grocery store shelves

So I have been going to the New Mass now for almost a full year after seven years in the TLM. Here are my thoughts and musings. Some things I enjoy about the New Mass more than the TLM:
- The larger lectionary (though it is purposively selective). Scripture is so needed in today's time, so more is appreciated.
- Communion under both kinds (which is scriptural and Patristic), though again I understand the doctrine of Concomitance.
- It being in the language of the people, (which is not a hate on Latin).
- Practically, community not coming from so far away.
Things I am not a fan of:
- Horrid music. The Catholic Church has some of the most beautiful music, but plays some of the worst. Honestly, the Catholic Church today is saved often times by the hymns of Anglicans and Lutherans. Those groups have far better music (Gregorian chant being excluded).
- The Bible Translation. The NAB is a horrid transaction. Not because it has an ecumenical background, but because of its translation philosophy. It is on the far end of Dynamic Equivalent Translations, as opposed to the Formal Equivalent. While I love the language of the Authorized Version or the Douay Rheims, the average parish should at least have the RSV. Formal, but clear to understand.
These are just some (not all) of my thoughts thus far.

Baby Brian was born to Shawn and Mary Pat Gallagher on June 16, 1982 on a military base at Fort Knox, Kentucky. He only lived for less than an hour due to complications during delivery. The parents, who were devout Catholics, requested that the baby be baptized.
Although no baptismal certificate was filed, due to the parents' explicit request, Brian's baptism is considered a conditional baptism.
In 2019, when the family opened the grave of Baby Brain in Highmore, South Dakota, for reinternment at the Black Hills National Cemetery, the casket was accidentally pierced by a backhoe tine. This compelled them to open the casket only to find the body of Baby Brian, who was born 37 years prior in mint condition.
Today the Gallaghers travel across the nation with a mission to console families grieving the loss of their children and teaching others about Baptism of Desire.
