A study of 10,000 parents showed that, of people going through a rough patch in their marriage, most will end up happy if they just stick it out
10 years later, 2/3 of those who stayed together reported that they were now happy and only 7% still unhappy

If you only watch ONE video today...
Please watch this Texas High School senior with Down syndrome run for 30 yards for the FIRST touchdown of his life!
His name is Mason Wisnoski.
He's a senior at Manvel High School in Manvel, Texas, jersey number 39.
For years, Mason has been part of the Manvel Mavericks.
He runs onto the field with the team and hands out Gatorade and water, he runs the celebration flags, but he never left the sideline.
Until now.
The coach's wife came up with an idea. Coach Kirk Martin called the head coach of their rival, Alvin High School, Matthew Bass.
A couple days before the game, they told Mason he was suiting up.
He couldn't believe it.
Mason walked out as a CAPTAIN for the coin toss, then they lined up and ran his play.
Mason took the handoff and took off down the sideline, right in front of the bleachers.
Thirty yards. Untouched.
He slid in like he was stealing third base and broke out his touchdown dance. 😂
The whole team MOBBED him and the offensive line lifted him onto their shoulders and carried him off the field.
Oh, and it was his 18TH BIRTHDAY.
His dad said it best: "It just shows that kids with disabilities are more alike than they are different."
THIS IS THE AMERICA I KNOW!!! 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

It turns on the guy is an awesome husband and Dad who was grieving the death of a friend that night. He had offered to take the baby but his wife wanted him to have it a little bit easier that night. After seeing the Internet tear him apart, she wrote a blog about what a great man he is. It’s good reflection for how quickly the internet casts judgement off of one clip. Read it here: themomoftheyear.substack.com…

"Here are 3 facts that made me, a lifelong Mormon, realize, the Book of Mormon is a made-up fantasy book." - Alyssa Grenfell
The Book of Mormon was made up by a con artist in 1829. DNA evidence, historical anachronisms, and lack of archaeological confirmation expose the fraud.

Practice isn’t always perfect.
People whose only sexual partner was their spouse have the lowest divorce odds.
✔️1–8 other partners: ~1.6× higher odds
✔️9+: ~3× higher odds
Extra partners linked to greater divorce risk, even after religiosity, attitudes, SES controlled.
Bottom line: Experience can be a teacher. But it can also be habit building.

I find these World Trade Center simulations by Kostack Studio fascinating because they remove the smoke and let you see the collapse much more clearly.
In the real footage, so much is hidden by fire, dust, debris, distance, and chaos that many people come away with the impression that the towers simply dropped straight down into their own footprints.
But that is not really what happened.
These simulations make it much easier to see that the collapse begins in the heavily damaged and fire-weakened region, the upper section starts moving and tilting, and the destruction then propagates downward through the structure.
The towers do not simply disappear vertically into their own footprints. Large portions of the upper structure and exterior are moving outward and to the side as the collapse develops. Much of that motion is simply obscured in the real videos once the enormous debris cloud forms.
And this is also why I find these simulations useful when people describe the collapses as looking like “controlled demolition.”
Strip away the smoke and dust and the resemblance becomes much less convincing.
What you see is a highly asymmetric structural failure beginning around the aircraft-damaged and fire-affected floors, followed by an enormous moving mass progressively overwhelming the structure beneath it. There is tilting, rotation, exterior columns peeling away, debris being thrown far outside the building footprint, and structural failure occurring chaotically as the collapse moves downward.
That is very different from the neat mental image usually implied by “controlled demolition,” where structural supports are deliberately severed in a carefully timed sequence to produce a predetermined collapse.
And importantly, we already know what preceded these collapses.
Both towers suffered massive aircraft-impact damage. Fireproofing was stripped from portions of the structure. Large, uncontrolled fires then burned across multiple floors - for about 56 minutes in the South Tower and about 102 minutes in the North Tower - heating and weakening structural components until collapse initiated.
Once that upper mass began moving, the loads imposed on the floors and structure beneath became vastly greater than anything they had been designed to carry.
The result was progressive collapse.
No, an animation is not proof simply because it looks convincing, and these are not official NIST simulations. They are visualizations built under particular assumptions.
But as visualizations, I think they are extremely useful.
They let you see something the original footage often cannot show clearly: beneath that enormous cloud of smoke and debris was a complicated, violent, asymmetric structural failure - not two buildings neatly dropping straight down into their own footprints.
A note on the simulation: this is not intended to reproduce the collapse down to the exact motion of every beam, floor panel, and fragment of debris. No practical simulation could do that. Its value is in modeling the large-scale structural behavior - how the major sections deform, move, tilt, separate, and progressively fail. Think of it as a visualization of the mechanics and overall collapse behavior, not a frame-by-frame reconstruction of where every piece of steel ultimately landed.

Alabama ICU nurses buy an inflatable pool to fulfill a dying patient's final wish: to be baptized.
Three Huntsville Hospital ICU nurses say they were going to stop at nothing to fulfill Jeannie Guffey's wish of being baptized.
"It was just a really sweet, emotional moment. The nurses went above and beyond to make this happen at the 11th hour when we were running out of options," Guffey's daughter-in-law said.
Guffey passed away peacefully one week later.
What a beautiful story.
Forsaking the World For Christ by J.C. Ryle
True Christians must make up their minds to trouble in this world. Whether we are ministers or hearers, whether we teach or are taught, it makes little difference.
We must carry “a cross.” We must be content to lose even life itself for Christ’s sake. We must submit to the loss of man’s favor, we must endure hardships, we must deny ourselves in many things, or we shall never reach heaven at last. So long as the world, the devil, and our own hearts, are what they are, these things must be so.

God does not resort to some kind of legal fiction, calling something righteous that is not. Rather, He declares us righteous on the basis of the real accomplished righteousness of Christ, imputed to us because of our union with Him.
