Really valued running today's Tree of Life with @AspClinPsych for DClinPsy applicants who didn't get onto the doctorate this year. With only an 18% acceptance rate, it’s vital to hold space for reflection, values, and resilience. Grateful to give back after my own journey💙

Thoroughly appreciated today's invaluable lecture from @FreefromTorture highlighting the important therapeutic practices for refugees and asylum seekers who have experienced torture #DClinPsy 💙

These lectures are the reason I picked a Clinical Psychology Doctorate with a Social Justice approach, although I would hope all courses cover these topics #DClinPsy

I take it back - after seeing my payslip, the NHS backdated pay is no where near the same as getting a bonus😅💸

What better way to kick off my 2nd year on the #DClinPsy than with flowers, chocolates, and friends who pour into my cup. Feeling blessed 🥰🙏🏼 Thank you @nikellelouise Shannon and Patrice for the kindness❤️

In light of finishing my first placement in Adult secondary CMHT🎉 I thought I'd share this meme that a client sent me😂 I think humour can be so helpful in sessions especially with building rapport🙏🏼

Genuinely, it's not as bad as people make out🙏🏼 especially if you prioritise your breaks and good relations with course mates* * arguably biased as a new second year who isn't drowning in the dissertation stress just yet😅
Every person I've spoken to about me starting clinical training is like, "Good luck, it is stressful/hard/draining..". Sprinkling some positivity would be great, too 😂

My biggest regret from first year of the #DClinPsy is not booking annual leave for the week before the new academic year🫠 I think the timing of your annual leave on the Doctorate is what will help with that feeling of playing catch up😅

The period of time between completing an assignment and the submission is tense because can you ever really check your work too much😅

What better way to start a Saturday morning than running a reflective workshop for @AspClinPsych 🙌🏽 Thoroughly enjoyed presenting and listening to the reflective applications of those wanting to apply to the #DClinPsy

Running training sessions are one of my favourite things🙌🏽 This is a behavioural family therapy informed poster I made for Support Workers who are managing those with negative symptoms of Schizophrenia

Leading the journal club felt particularly important today. Professional spaces reflecting on racial inequities are essential for not only change but also as a support space to process the terrors unfolding around the world🙏🏼

I really enjoying leading a staff consultation today, informed by Behavioural family therapy, to assist staff in caring for people with Schizophrenia🙌🏽

One of my passions is working with teams to empower them and develop mental health informed approaches💙

Despite initially moaning about the 1 hour and 40min journey😅 It was so refreshing to attend a team away day at a different venue with such beautiful gardens! It really aided the ability to be reflective🙌🏽
