Today I presented proposal #11 at the Meta Annual Shareholder's meeting. We need regular reporting on what children are experiencing on Meta's products to create space for employees inside of Meta to build experiences that improve the safety of children. Safety matters as much as profit and loss.

Meta switched this year to using AI/no human in the loop reports for child abuse material to save $ - meaning the govt. can no longer legally use them without a warrant. Side benefit for Meta - fewer child abuse cases link back to them, at the cost of children’s safety. techoversight.org/2024/01/19…

I had lunch with the ceo of Marici on Friday, the non profit that busts child sex trafficking rings. I asked who is most to blame for this happening. Without hesitation, he said "Meta." "We try to work with them, but they are not helping." marici.org
