Hey everyone, I want to provide a quick update on the AMER Trials situation from this past weekend. After reviewing the situation with our team, we were unable to identify the player who unpaused the game without authorization. We’ve already implemented a fix that will help us identify those responsible in similar situations moving forward.
We sincerely apologize to @HannekoKitten for the impact this had on her event. This was a miss in our ability to effectively track this particular rule infraction to ensure the right person is held accountable, but we're going to learn and grow from this one.

While I've seen students move away from LoL at the High School level, Valorant has been incredibly strong. I believe last year at @GSEsportsorg we had four distinct Valorant groups statewide.
Whether or not this helps LoL, it should help get folks in the door more broadly.
...but also requires a gear shift. You're not using that voice to build up your own mythos, you're using it to strengthen others within your community. Guiding the tournament along until a player or team rips the microphone from you shouting ME ME ME I'M THE CHAMPION WOOOOO.
Content creators, and esports pros, have a lot of the tools and ingredients required to become strong esports commentators.
Both professions are very intrinsic. You naturally build a brand that puts you first. This is a GREAT way for folks to find their voice on a desk...
Commentating or casting is not a "reward" for being a content creator. It is a high pressure public facing job, requiring the ability to communicate with a huge amount of people live, while balancing the needs of stakeholders involved. People who are selected to do this always have my full support.
Being part of the community is not necessarily a requirement, but being able to do your job and tick all the boxes is. If your end goal of being a content creator is for the rewards that you might get, then I would say it's probably better to use your time for something else.

🌠So incredibly excited to be joining the 2026–2027 Starlight Stream Ambassador class! :D🌠
Growing up, I spent a lot of time in and out of hospitals myself, so Starlight's mission is one that hits especially close to home. Philanthropy the reason for who I am and what I represent, so being able to use my platform to help always means the most to me <3
So grateful to @StarlightUS for trusting me to represent a mission so close to my heart!☀️
🎉 WELCOME OUR STARLIGHT STREAM AMBASSADOR CLASS OF 2026-2027🎉

Looking for volunteers to help keep the TFT Wiki on Liquipedia updated:
The TFT Wiki could use a few more hands. It’s volunteer / spare-time only (no pay), but if you’re into TFT Esports and want to help, DM me — happy to walk you through it, and you can hop into official Discord. Right now it’s mostly just me and @Alithyst keeping it updated.

What is the easiest way to reach out? I would love to talk more about the T2 community as someone who has been helping to grow it since Fates.
Incredible news to hear! Super excited to see what you have planned for the shape of the ecosystem in the future!
League's history doesn't directly overlap here, but a lot of their early commentary talent does. You can still find clips in some places, like this video @theScoreesports posted seven years ago.

That's actually where the term "Shoutcast" comes from, it was the name of the service a lot of early shoutcasters used to host their audio.
Casters would even have to do counts or other tricks to help their audiences sync things up between files.
A bit of history dies here. In the early days of shoutcasting, before video hosting, folks would record the audio of themselves commentating and supply it alongside a replay file for download.
I already said a lot of thanks on the day, but I need to shoutout both @FuturePlay_Fest and @GSEsportsorg one last time. This collaboration lead to one of the strongest Collegiate Rocket League events by the numbers, and I can't wait to see what happens next!
Meanwhile, @DJTJRL gets his own post in here. Literal Rocket League machine. Lead the broadcast both on and off camera. Owner of some of the hypest calls on Championship Sunday. Effortlessly showcased the best of esports in every capacity he held.
Talent was INSANE TOO. Every conversation I had since day 1 of planning called for student talent leading and running the broadcast. While I'm happy I was able to play a small part on the analyst desk, the achievements of @KevdogCasts, @ryn0hs, and @Arxh_13 cannot be understated.
That said, the gameplay this weekend was INSANE, easily some of the best Rocket League matches I've had the pleasure to watch. Everything from @NorthwoodEsport's championship to @IndTechEsports' Cinderella story in the lower bracket had me on the edge of my seat!
This weekend was not the event we initially planned, which was incredibly stressful. Converting a fullscale LAN to a remote broadcast over the course of two weeks takes a lot of effort from a lot of folks, let alone the drain it can have on players and talent.
Reflecting a bit on the @FuturePlay_Fest Collegiate Esports Showdown.
This has been a crazy project for myself and @GSEsportsorg more broadly. While we've been thinking about this event for awhile now, its spent a year in active development across production and commentary.
To give that talent some love, check out @KevdogCasts, @Arxh_13, @ryn0hs, and of course @DJTJRL who will be streaming the event!
WHOAH!
Its been months in the making, but we're at the cusp of crowning champions in the $50K Future Play Collegiate Showdown!
This has been an awesome @GSEsportsorg project, highlighting talent at all levels of competition. Tune in for top college players and commentators!
