The Center for Protest Law & Litigation at the PCJF, Thomas Seabaugh, and the ACLU Foundation of Northern California have successfully resolved litigation arising from University of California Santa Cruz' campus bans of more than 100 students and faculty in May 2024.

COURT VICTORY: Santa Cruz County Superior Court Judge ruled that UC Santa Cruz was not entitled to the wide breadth of information it sought to access when it seized a student activist’s phone, granting in part a motion to quash the University’s search warrant.
