Biomolecular condensates can concentrate macromolecules and metabolites to boost or quench biochemical reaction. But what about gases?

It has been more than four years since @alexholehouse and I started @IDPseminars and now it is time for fresh blood and fresh ideas! We are happy to announce that @chemeslab and @PelhamJackie take over as hosts!
We (@alexholehouse and @ProteinMagnus) started IDPSeminars in May 2020. It has been a wonderful platform to host an incredible array of international science. What began as a pandemic alternative to conferences has blossomed into a consistent and supportive community.
It has been a pleasure to host @IDPseminars– literally you get to invite the coolest scientists in your field to your living room to give a talk. However, I am a little worn out from hosting online seminars and I look forward joining the audience 😊.
Also, have a look at the amazing program lined up and more good things are in store in the next round!
It is amazing that @IDPseminars have kept going when other online seminars folded, and I am sure this will continue under Lucia and Jackie’s leadership.

What is better than getting a big grant?
Getting a big grant together with a good, old friend! (and some new ones). We are happy to unveil “Plant-PATH: Center for Active Transport of Plant Hormones” together with @BjornPPedersen, @martenschloe & @uhammes

For 10 years, I have had @BjornPPedersen as my lab next door-neighbor. We have discussed the dangly disordered bits that hang off his favorite transporters over many cups of coffee and bottles of beer always ending up with the conclusion:
“We should do a project together”.
Now we will do this on a big scale with the @GrundforskFond center Plant-PATH bringing in complementary expertise in the form of @uhammes and @martensChloe.
Together we will study the molecular mechanisms of regulation of plant hormone transport over the next 6 (or 10🤞) years!

Today we are higlighting faculty mentor and panelist @ProteinMagnus. The Kjaergaard lab investigates how intrinsically disordered proteins orchestrate signaling pathways and aims to engineer new functional IDPs for applications in biotech.
