We’re not arguing against a new hospital. We’re asking whether this is the right location. If anyone knows of a recent UK acute hospital with A&E built on historic woodland, surrounded by schools and without strategic road or rail access, we’d genuinely like to see the evidence

The same applies to Great Western, Southmead, Royal Liverpool, Queen Elizabeth and Forth Valley Royal. Different parts of the UK. Different designs. One common theme: Hospitals were planned around established transport and infrastructure.
