We are thrilled to share that ICOTYDE® (icotrokinra) has been named one of TIME Magazine's Best Inventions of 2026 in the Medical & Healthcare category!
Jointly discovered by Protagonist Therapeutics and Johnson & Johnson scientists, ICOTYDE is the first and only targeted oral peptide therapy that selectively blocks the IL-23 receptor, offering a new oral treatment option for patients with moderate-to-severe plaque psoriasis.
This recognition is a testament to the years of dedication, scientific innovation and hard work from the teams at Protagonist and Johnson & Johnson who helped bring ICOTYDE from discovery to patients.

Protagonist Therapeutics is pleased to announce publication of the primary data from the pivotal Phase 3 VERIFY study of rusfertide in the Journal of Clinical Oncology.
These data continue the momentum from the Plenary Presentation at #ASCO25. #PolycythemiaVera patients on rusfertide in the VERIFY study maintained hematocrit control, experienced a reduced phlebotomy burden, and noted improvements in fatigue and other patient reported outcomes.

New two-year Phase 3 data for ICOTYDE® (icotrokinra) were presented today by Johnson & Johnson at #EADV2026, supporting ICOTYDE’s potential as a first-line systemic therapy and targeted oral treatment option for patients with difficult-to-treat psoriasis who need to move beyond topical therapy.
The Protagonist team is excited to be at EADV celebrating this achievement while connecting with KOLs and investigators about what’s next: advancing our IL-17 antagonist, PN-881, toward a planned Phase 2b psoriasis study in early 2027.
