If France saw what France is doing in France, France would invade France to liberate France from the tyranny of France.

I think ambitious people should treat life in “seasons” rather than trying to balance everything every day.
A few years massively overallocated to work. A period getting seriously fit. A year or two nomading. Then family takes priority for a while. Then maybe at 35 you go completely insane again and spend four years building a new company, and so on.
The mistake is thinking every metric needs to stay green all the time. Most great outcomes (building a company, writing sth serious, training for an event) need uninterrupted runs, not daily moderation. Sometimes work should suffer cause you’re travelling, sometimes your social life should suffer cause you’re building, sometimes career progression should slow cause family matters more. That’s fine.
And tbh it probably makes life more fun too. You get actual chapters and completely different versions of yourself instead of spending 40 years maintaining the same perfectly optimised routine. A few intense years in one city, a weird nomad phase, an obsession that takes over your life, then something completely different. Probably much more memorable than one very long well-optimised Tuesday.
It's why I encourage everyone to think of balance in years, not days. A good life can look horribly unbalanced on some random Tuesday and still be very balanced over 10 years.
We should all stop with this modern obsession of having a perfectly balanced, optimised life (8 hours sleep, daily cardio + gym, eat well, deep work, etc.)
Most exceptional lives are heavily overallocated somewhere and any pursuit of greatness (in business, art, sport, research) requires big sacrifices.
Online gurus love selling this perfect recipe of life but reality is you only have a 24h day. No way you can sleep 8h, do 10k steps, gym, morning sunlight, read, eat perfectly, do 9h of deep work, see friends, maintain a relationship and somehow be happy through all of it.
I think a better thing for ambitious people is to think of life in seasons: a year obsessed with work, then a period focused on health, family, travel, etc. You can be massively overallocated to one thing for a while without deciding that’s what your entire life should look like. Balance probably makes more sense measured over years than every single day.

🚨🌍 The UAE has become the Gulf's dominant investor in Africa.
This chart shows a remarkable shift over the past decade.
🇦🇪 The UAE now accounts for the vast majority of Gulf foreign direct investment in Africa, overtaking Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman and Bahrain combined.
This isn't just about capital.
It is a long-term strategy built around:
⚓ Ports and logistics
🛢️ Energy and critical minerals
🌾 Food security
🏗️ Infrastructure and industrial zones
The result is a growing network stretching from the Red Sea to the Atlantic, giving the UAE increasing influence over some of the world's most important trade and energy corridors.
The UAE is positioning itself at the center of future global trade flows.
The last time Frank Gehry designed a Guggenheim, it turned a declining industrial town into a global destination. Economists still call it "the Bilbao Effect."
This one is his largest museum ever, and one of his last. It lands on Saadiyat, next to the Louvre, Zayed National Museum, Natural History Museum and teamLab.
Bilbao got one Gehry and re-rated an entire city. Abu Dhabi is building a whole district of them. What does that do to Saadiyat over the next decade?
Abu Dhabi has announced that the Guggenheim Abu Dhabi will officially open on December 11, 2026, on Saadiyat Island’s Cultural District.
Designed by renowned architect Frank Gehry, the museum will showcase modern and contemporary art through immersive galleries, installations and interactive exhibitions, further strengthening the UAE’s position as a global cultural and artistic destination.

Most countries are still debating whether AI belongs in government. Abu Dhabi just built it into the courtroom: an assistant to judges, with every final ruling kept in human hands.
The world's first fully integrated AI judicial system. Faster cases, more consistent judgments, rollout starting this year.
Reliable, efficient courts are what capital quietly prices above almost everything. This is what it looks like when a state upgrades its own foundations.
The UAE has launched the world's first fully integrated artificial intelligence-powered judicial platform.
The platform aims to support judicial and legal decision-making through artificial intelligence under full human supervision and validation, enhancing procedural efficiency while ensuring accuracy and consistency in judicial work.

Dubai just crossed 10,000 companies at DIFC, growing 30% a year. The two fastest-moving categories tell the real story: AI and fintech up 39%, family-related entities up 36%.
The future economy and the world's private wealth are arriving in the same place at the same time.
D33's goal is a top-four global financial centre. On this trajectory, that target looks conservative.
Maktoum bin Mohammed: Dubai International Financial Centre continues to deliver strong results and reinforce its role in advancing Dubai towards the vision set by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum under the Dubai Economic Agenda D33, to position our city among the world’s top four financial centres.
In the first half of 2026, DIFC surpassed 10,000 active registered companies for the first time in its history, with annual growth of 30%. AI, FinTech and innovation firms increased to 1,933, up 39% year-on-year, alongside continued growth in family business-related entities and firms.
In Dubai, leadership is not measured only by what we achieve, but by the opportunities we create for others. Our journey is not about keeping pace with the future—it is about helping shape it.
