In the 1.300 years of Muslim-Arab slave trade, approximately a million Greeks were sold as slaves. Greek girls who were pretty were forced into prostitution after being enslaved to Turks who took all their earnings. Women captives were known to be subjected to sexual abuse. After Chios Massacre (March 30, 1822) where the Muslim Turks slaughtered 42.000 Christian Greeks, 52.000 women and children were sold as slaves in the markets of Smyrna & Constantinople. On September 1, 1821, Samothrace was devastated by the Ottomans through a general massacre, 10.000 men & boys were slaughtered while women & children were sold also in the markets of Constantinople & Smyrna. Only those who converted to Islam survived. On July 14, 1821, 486 Greeks of Cyprus were publicly beheaded because they didn't convert to Islam. On 13-22 September 1922, thousands of women (Greeks and Armenians) were mass raped and slaughtered in Smyrna from the Islamic horde, the Young Turks, who were motivated by racial and religious hatred. Only those who converted to Islam survived. They aimed the Christians of Anatolia and tried to erase our Greek footprint. They failed. On 6-7 of September 1955, during the Constantinople pogroms, Muslim Turks committed rapes againt the Greek community of the City. Hundreds of women expelled and raped. Now there is a minotiry of less than 2.000 Greeks living in the city that their ancestors found, Constantinople. In 1974, the Muslim Turks invaded the island of Cyprus and raped in the name of their god thousands of Greek women from 12 to 71 years old. Even the Church of Cyprus had consented through its tolerance to the amendment of the legislation in 1974, so that the abortions of that period became legal. Women captives were known to be subjected to sexual abuse. Male Muslims were given the right to have sex with female captives (slaves), which was phrased: "those men who guard their genitals, except with their wives and those whom their right hands possess, for then there is no blame" (Quran 23:6), which granted men the right to have sex not only with their wives but also with female captive slaves. Here's Reuters former Jerusalem Bureau Chief, Crispian Balmer, quoting rabid Antisemite Susan Sarandon in a feature story today: "I think that the narrative has completely ​changed in terms of the historical relevance of Palestine and the ties of Zionists with America and ​our politics," she said. "That has been a major revelation for people, how much money the ⁠United States gives to Israel, nobody really understood that." Though Sarandon now carefully couches her criticism in terms of "Zionists", we know from her past public statements that the focus of her hatred is not merely those who support Israel, but more directly, Jews. For example, on November 17, 2023, only a few weeks after the massacres of October 7th in Israel, and with Jews all over the world in shock and fear for their own safety, Sarandon had the chutzpah to say: “There are a lot of people that are afraid, that are afraid of being Jewish at this time, and are getting a taste of what it feels like to be a Muslim in this country, so often subjected to violence.” Thus, according to Sarandon, the Jewish People, who suffer hate crimes at 8x the rate of Muslims, have no personal or collective experience of violent persecution. And anyway, they probably had it coming. Worse, Sarandon later told a rally crowd that people “don’t understand the context” of the October 7th attacks. Yes of course, shooting youngsters at a dance party, burning families alive in Kibbutzim, beheadings, gang rapes, female genital mutilations, and slicing open the abdomens of pregnant women does typically require a nuanced understanding of the conflict. Balmer btw, reports on none of these incredibly stupid remarks by Sarandon. Most interesting about the Balmer piece is what it reveals, not so much about Sarandon, but about Balmer himself. In a piece he wrote for Reuters in 2010 on whether Jewish Democrats would donate to Barack Obama's 2012 reelection bid, Balmer cautioned that given Obama's ambivalence on support for Israel, his "deep-pocketed Jewish donors" might reconsider their contributions. Taken together with Sarandon's comment, [it] "has been a major revelation for people, how much money the ⁠United States gives to Israel" (in fact, a tiny fraction of what the US spends to defend the rest of the world with men and materiel), Balmer's snarky "deep-pocketed Jewish donors" line demonstrates that the elite on the political Left (celebrities, journalists) are as captivated with "Jewish money" tropes as are their counterparts on the Right. A Palestinian State in Judea & Samaria ("West Bank") would enable and would see Abdullah toss his Palestinian subjects out of Jordan and across the River to become a permanent thorn in the side of Israel. He is itching for that outcome -- not a real peace settlement, just a way to be rid of his majority Palestinian population and set them at the throats of the Jews -- for eternity.
