there's plenty that I'd call #2
guess we're in that awkward pause where we're slowly starting to realize that every Dem in the legislature knew full well about Lucas' behavior because they witnessed it all day every day, and now they have to figure out how to explain that publicly
"Senator Lindsay Graham was gay" is not the earthshaking October Surprise some are trying way too hard to make it into.
and if you said "Mark Warner", that wouldn't surprise too many people either

I'm certainly not upset, but given that this is very likely just the first round of hors d'ouvres, I'm saving my best for the main course
I may have mentioned a few times over the years how blatantly obvious the use of elected offices for plundering the public treasury has been in Virginia
Louise Lucas probably isn't even on the top 10 list

it was kind of anticlimactic tbh, the FBI raid was in May

BG 1 & 2, Mass Effect 1 & 2, KOTOR 1 & 2, Dragon Age (Origins only), and Fallout 1 & 2 are basically must-haves for the CRPG player.
It's not out of the realm of possibility that every Democrat in the Virginia legislature was in some way involved in buying and selling legislation, and that Louise has the goods on all of them.
Apparently there's some sort of private convening of legislators going on right now
the computer gaming equivalent of third-world mobs burning down the Louvre or putting Kathleen Kennedy in charge of Star Wars
This rabbit hole is a little deeper than I expected
CONFIRMED: Two sources, one within law enforcement, tell @pmd_reports that Ilhan Abdullahi Omar is "not her real name."
The congresswoman's name, they claim, is Ilhan Nur Said Elmi.
@willchamberlain first pointed out the alias reference in a motion to prevent the unsealing of a search warrant obtained for the raid of her D.C. home last week.

Good luck finding: "This doesn't sound like the Louise Lucas I know. She would never engage in the crimes she is accused of!" in this statement.
I have read the charging document alleging a series of criminal acts by a member of the Virginia Senate. In our American system of justice, people are presumed innocent until proven guilty, and that is true for Senator L. Louise Lucas. She and her family deserve the opportunity to present their defense and speak to the allegations presented.
The timing of this indictment undermines the U.S. Department of Justice’s previously longstanding policy of not taking legal actions — to include indictments or significant investigative steps — close to an election and sadly, this timing further erodes the trust the American people deserve to have in the Department of Justice.

Since the GOP primary debate, my message on data centers has been the same:
Virginia’s 10th District has done more than its fair share to host data centers.
It is time to start putting them somewhere other than our backyard. The fact that data centers have been built right behind people's fences is insanity, and anyone who knew about that and did nothing to stop it should be fired.
Data centers should answer to us, not the other way around.
VA-10 deserves a Congressman who will fight for real limits on where they can be built and tax relief for those who are already living next to one.
We can't give more time to someone who has represented Data Center Alley for 6 years at the state and federal level, without a single bill or action to stop data centers from being built in neighborhoods.

No, but her replacements will be worse 100% guaranteed
The thing about Louise Lucas that gives me mixed feelings is yes, she is staggeringly corrupt, but she's also been so refreshingly brazen and straightforward about it, that it made her way less dangerous than those who are better at hiding their perfidious nature.
