A young Black schoolgirl, #ChildQ, was taken out of an exam to be strip searched - without any adult supervision from her guardians - on suspicion of possessing cannabis, which she did not. She was then sent back into her exam, traumatised and shaken. theguardian.com/uk-news/2022…

#MaleViolence. When a man targets a woman leading chants against male violence, by throwing bottles of milkshake over her from behind, twice, and then @gmpolice decide only to caution him, women we have a huge misogyny problem on the streets! fb.watch/bJVquoSrvP/

1. Why would Boris Johnson be against a specific criminal offence of sexual harassment? 2. Why did Priti Patel’s team leak news about her being ‘infuriated’ by Johnson’s attitude? 3. 97% of women told a survey they have been sexually harassed by men 4. Don’t they deserve better?

At least 106 UK women have been killed by men (or where a man is the principal suspect) so far in 2021. 106 women in 265 days is one UK woman dead at the hands of a man every 2.5 days so far this year @CountingDeadWomen #saytheirnames #SabinaNessa

So many organizations spend so much time and money on ‘prevention’ education and on educating on the ‘signs’ of abuse so a report will be made, but if a report does not lead to a child defended then the child is just dropped into an abyss of more trauma.

It's really hard to connect to others emotionally, when we're trying like hell to numb the scary, overwhelming feelings we're feeling inside us. Trauma f*cks up our relationships from the inside out. Healing needs to happen from the inside out.

@talkRADIO Great interview with Jane Gregory @ProjectSSP , after the CPS rejecting a assault charge on an ex partner in February after I was unwilling to give a statement, with being taken to hospital in an ambulance with injuries police attendance it’s such a hard step to take.
This morning I visited the amazing Vera Green with @salford_mayor. Vera, who at 97, and with osteoporosis, osteoarthritis and cataracts, completed 100m walks for 100 days, a total of 6.2miles to raise money for Salford Survivors Project. justgiving.com/fundraising/v…

When it comes to support services for people who have experienced abuse, I’m not that interested about the funding difference between women’s services & men’s services. I’m more concerned about the disparity between what funding is actually needed & what the funding actually is!
