Join us at @BilkentUniv in Ankara, Turkey, on October 6–7, 2026, for a two-day workshop exploring the forefront of Processing-in-Memory (PIM) architectures and hardware acceleration for computational genomics and data-centric computing.
Last day of #genomeinformatics24! We have presented our work in @ProjectBioPIM with talks from @calkan_cs and @camiladuitama1 and a poster by @zulal_b, increasing the awareness of hardware acceleration in the community.
We are at the Genome Informatics 2024 meeting with two talks and a poster. @calkan_cs @zulal_b @camiladuitama1 @RayanChikhi in attendance.
We held our third plenary meeting for the BioPIM Project in beautiful Zurich, marking the close of our second review period. Since our last meeting in May, we have published three additional papers, with several more submitted and available as preprints.
Here in beautiful Zurich for the third @ProjectBioPIM Plenary Meeting.
And here is @RayanChikhi, presenting the Logan Project, an attempt at assembling all public sequencing data: youtube.com/watch?v=H-8L_hFW…
Our talks at @UCLA_CGSI are now on YouTube. @calkan_cs presented a quick overview of the BioPIM Project: youtube.com/watch?v=2lSHTQbA…
We presented the BioPIM Project at the @UCLA_CGSI 2024.
The second year of the BioPIM Project comes to an end. This year we have published 14 journal papers, 4 full conference papers, and presented in 8 conferences and workshops. We met in Grenoble at the UPMEM headquarters to discuss the progress and future of BioPIM.
Our BioPIM Partners organized the 5th Workshop on Accel. Arch. in Comp. Biol. and Bioinf. (AACBB) during the ISCA 2023 Conference in Orlando, FL. The workshop featured great talks on the architecture and design of hardware accelerators for comp bio. aacbb-workshop.github.io/
