ALT Kids' volunteers needed. Who are we? The kids' space is part of Akwaaba, a volunteer-run, non-hierarhical social centre for migrants in Hackney. We are: anti-racist, anti-borders, anti-adult supremacy. We strive to foster: solidarity, play, care.
ALT Why do we need you? Kids' volunteers facilitate play, craft, sport and other activities. But we have had to cancel 4 of our past 7 scheduled kids' sessions due to a volunteer shortage. We need more kids' volunteers to ensure the kids' space at Akwaaba doesn't end up closing for good.
ALT How to get involved? If you can spare two Sundays (1.45 - 5.45pm) a month and have previous experience with kids, get in touch!
