Police don't stop crime. You can add 10 000 new cops on the beat and it won't stop crime.
The only way to reduce rates of criminal activity is to address the source, not one LNP policy does that.
Charity is a failure of government policy. Instead of taking away people's autonomy and forcing them to use food banks, we need to be pushing down the costs of food and rent. LNP doesn't have an answer for either of those.

There is only one crime statistic that has increased: family and domestic violence. LNP is doing nothing about this issue, where we have the most comprehensive plan to reduce male violence.

There is only one crime statistic that has increased in the last three years in relative terms, and that is domestic violence. @LNPQLD doesn't have a plan to address that, and we don't buy the scare tactics on youth crime that will only make Queensland less safe.

@DavidCrisafulli and his @LNPQLD buds are actively making Queensland more dangerous with their "tough on crime" bs. To can have ten thousand new police and crime rates will still go up if you don't address the underlying drivers for youth. We need to be smart on crime. #qldpol

Ex-officers are “sickened” by footage showing a policeman beating a teen with a baton at a watchhouse.

Gas companies in Qld are incredibly allowed UNLIMITED groundwater take from the #GAB to produce coal seam gas while all other users are subject to a water entitlements & access rights framework.
It is one indulgent & reckless rule for the #GasCartel and another right & proper rule for everyone else in Qld.
The Productivity Commission in their May 2021 Inquiry Report made the following pivotal recommendation:
"Remove the special provision for minerals and petroleum industries in water access and planning arrangements to support better incorporation of these industries into water access entitlements frameworks that apply to other consumptive users."

The federal & Qld governments have approved the construction of thousands of gas wells through the Great Artesian Basin in Qld.
The integrity of these gas wells will fail over time.
This not only risks the leakage of methane to the surface, adding to 🇦🇺's global heating emissions but also the devastating depletion & contamination of good quality aquifers, existentially relied upon by thousands of regional residents.
I would like to know what the grand plan is for our future generations, who won't have access to the groundwater resources we know and cherish today.
