I now live under a 🔵☁️ using my publishing/professional name Dolfi. profdolfi to be precise.
Excellent presentation @pcaaca by Jean Francois Tuffier on happiness in British media. Looking at Downton Abbey, Emma, & Billy Eliot | #PCAACA2024
I did a thing… I presented @pcaaca on Doctor Who and the Bible yesterday!
I guess #PCAACA2024 really tuckered me out. I slept for 10 hours!!
Great presentation by Juli Gittinger on sexual assault and robots at #pcaaca2024
Gotta have Doctor Who themed nails for my presentation @pcaaca on Doctor Who
Hey #PCAACA24 peeps come to my session. 11:30 (Illinois).
Ever wonder about how Doctor Who compares to God/the Bible?
Are you interested in homicidal & genocidal behaviors and how we have come to view (excuse? admire? loathe?) them through religion & secular ethics? Then come to my #PCA24 session Thurs @ 11:30am

Does anyone know of work in Great Britain that is similar to Froese & Bader’s America’s Four Gods? Essentially how people view (the Abrahamic) God or reconcile/approach the idea of a wrathful, vengeful God?
Please don’t be the reason others are hanging onto this sinking ship.
Trust me I’m deeply missing the connection Twitter provided me over the last 4 years. The professional support & guidance has been incalculable, & frankly I still need it as an ECR but it’s not worth staying.
Yay! On my way to Salt Lake.
Just wished it wasn’t difficult to travel while disabled. My return trip I’ll be contacting my airline—it’s my 2st time making a longer trip on my own & it was harder than expected. Still happy to go & glad I planned an extra day b4 the conference.
Hot take:
Teaching ESL is way the fuck harder than sociology.
I’m tired y’all. I only get paid for my time in class + 1 hour prep p/week. I work 40-50+ hours a week when I am paid for about 19. I still do service at my college along w/ req. PD hours.
I make $12k a year…
Is The Chosen worth watching? I mean from either a pop culture stance or scholar of religion point of view.
Like… I’m an Atheist, it will hold no personal meaning for me. So, that aspect won’t be compelling.
Wow, this ESL worksheet by a major organization is f-up:
My son (likes) school, but he is very young. My daughters are older. They (like) movies and boys.
Who TF wrote this?! Apparently only little kids can like school, and older girls are boy crazy. It perpetuates stereotypes.
I don’t know how many times I have to say this but, religions do not have agency. A religion can’t “do” anything. People have agency. People practice religion. People act upon their religious convictions. Same goes for nontheism, it does not have agency—people do.
Yay! I got my vaccine tonight after my night class.
I hopped into the shower right after I got home. You know, before my arm starts really hurting!
