Jokes about particular communities have the chance to increase our violence. This is why jokes about LGBTQ+ people, Black people, women, people with disabilities, etc. are NOT funny. Many of the people supporting these jokes will then pretend to care about our death. Save it.

I don’t know who needs to hear this but white investors need to stop investing in black people that make them comfortable and start investing in black people who challenge them. Your idea of good is harmful, and it’s stopping the community from being heard.

Facts.🔥
I keep telling my national friends do NOT snooze on the Democratic gubernatorial campaign of @MiaforSC. A lot of @JoeCunninghamSC supporters are acting like he is running unopposed in 2022, but mark my words: This primary fight is for REAL. #SC2022

Overcoming persistent inequities is one of #HigherEd's most significant challenges. The 2022 Conference on Diversity, Equity, and Student Success will send a clear message about the work ahead: it takes more than just words. Submissions due November 12. aacu.org/events/2022-diversi…
I want to thank @MiaforSC for being kind, human, supportive, open, and honest. As a citizen, I cannot imagine a representative that embodies the ideal of democracy more than her. Thank you!
After @SCGSAH has proudly stated that they don’t answer to the State Department of Education, they used the State Department of Ed to justify sending inaccurate discipline records to Our local high school, per Cedric Adderley, and delaying our transfer.
After agreeing to reduce my daughters suspension to 5 days from 10, @SCGSAH sent my daughter’s new school the discipline record with the 10 day suspension still reflected. This has cause a delay in her enrolling in the new school. This is RETALIATION.
My student received a 10 day suspension for retaliation against a known school bully. @postandcourier @SCGSAH But 3 days for illegal drugs on campus?!
After @postandcourier long exposé, “Minimally Adequate,” it’s surprising that discipline practices like those of @SCGSAH are allowed to persist. White boys at the school received a 3 day suspension for having marijuana on campus…

After talking to former @SCGSAH employees and students, it seems they have a long history of documented inequitable treatment of Black and Brown students that has never been addressed. @wyffnews4 @WSPA7 @thestate @postandcourier
The records requests were sent to @SCGSAH on 9/30. I spoke with guidance and they started working on the request today? Why the delay if no other reason than to continue to punish my daughter. The kids learned the bullying behavior from the school itself.
And the @SCGSAH 'icing on the cake' is their unwillingness to respond to my daughter's new school and transfer her school records so she can resume her education. This is retaliation.
To add insult to injury, @SCGSAH's president sent an email that said they refuse to reconsider their decision, refuse to protect my daughter if she returns to campus, and will continue to allow their police to interrogate students without parents notice.
I say all that to say that @SCGSAH is blind to its own shortcomings, resistant to research based literature to inform their disciplinary practices, and an outright hostile environment to Black and Brown students.
