I created Ed B in 2020, inspired by The Boondocks and Robot Chicken. I wanted dark humor, satire, and REAL conversations.
The story was inspired by Rachel Dolezal and her racial identity controversy. I thought, WHAT IF someone fell in love with somebody who lied about being Black?! LMAO.
BUT HOW THE HELL WAS I GONNA FUND THIS?!
I created the Run Ed collection. Nearly all those funds went toward making this short.
Seth Green discovered my puppet, we got on a call, and he agreed to play Billy!

We spent years bringing this seven-minute film to life. Models and miniature sets had to be built. Puppets were physically moved and photographed FRAME BY FRAME. We combined stop-motion with 2D animation, music, sound, and editing.
SEVEN MINUTES OF FILM. YEARS OF WORK. AN INSANE AMOUNT OF LABOR.
What began as a puppet in 2020 became a film made in 2022–2023, followed by years of figuring out how to release the damn thing.
Now I'm experimenting with collectible digital art cards that unlock the film.
Independent art deserves new ways to survive.
