Looking at all the docking preprints coming out now, I have a dare: Pick a ligand database, pick a target, and show me that you CANNOT find a computational binder. If you always find one, then publishing a paper saying only “we found a molecule that binds” is meaningless.

Check out this perspective article from three of our MERCURY investigators (@kaureliaball, Heidi Hendrickson, and @HeKedan) about starting a #CompChem undergraduate research group. This is another great article from the MERCURY special issue of IJQC.
Passion for #compchem bengins during early academic life but involve students in research can be tricky. If you are a young PI looking to grow your research group, Ball, He, and Hendrickson have some tips for you.@WileyCTChem doi.org/10.1002/qua.26341
