Press Statement As though making Tigray a living hell weren't enough, the armed reactionary clique and criminal enterprise lording over Tigray has now initiated a war of aggression. Having already been fulfilling the Eritrean regime's nefarious objectives, and determined to destabilize Ethiopia under the pretext of political differences, on the morning of September 23, 2026, the criminal group took control of airports in Mekelle, Axum, and Shire after kidnapping the federal police officers tasked with securing them. This blatant act of aggression has led to the suspension of flights to and from these cities. Moreover, the criminal clique and its partners in destruction have embarked on a large-scale offensive against federal positions. It must be noted that this latest war is not only financed by external forces, but also involves an alignment of actors, some of whom don't even recognize Tigray's territorial integrity, and among whom the TPLF clique has in fact allied itself with actors credibly accused of committing heinous crimes against the people of Tigray. At a time when the people of Tigray are under tremendous apprehension about the continuity of banking and other services following the suspension of flights to and from Mekelle, the reactionary clique has set in motion a plan to suspend these services as well. Moreover, as usual, this clique, shedding crocodile tears, is determined to confuse and misinform the international community. It should be noted that this latest war, initiated by the reactionary clique at the behest of its external sponsors, has nothing to do with the people of Tigray. Our party commends the courageous decision of members of the Tigray Defense Forces to repudiate this latest reckless war, and calls upon them to further enhance their efforts to distance themselves from a war that is antithetical to Tigray's core interests. This war will have a destructive effect on the people of Tigray in general, and on those who have been forcibly recruited in particular. It will never affect those who are directing it, and will only lead to nonstop fighting. It is imperative that you do everything in your power to save your lives. Because this war is bound to splinter Tigray as a nation and dissipate its capabilities, this latest act of aggression must be condemned unequivocally. Since this reactionary clique has a well-documented pattern of storing weapons in schools and residential areas, we call upon residents of such areas to distance themselves from them and to resist such practices. Finally, we call upon Tigrayans in the diaspora, friends of Tigray, the federal government and the International community to recognize that this latest war has nothing to do with the people of Tigray. We further call upon you all to fulfill your duty in bringing to justice a clique that cannot survive without waging war. Eternal glory to our martyrs! እዋናዊ መግለፂ! ዕጡቕ ጉጅለ ድሕረትን ገበንን ፤ ትግራይ ሰብ ዘይነብረላ ናይ ሲኦል ምድሪ ምግባሮም ከይኣክል ሐዚ ድማ ቁሉዕ ኩናት ጀሚሮም ኣለዉ። ብጉልባብ ፖለቲካዊ ምስምስ ኢትዮጵያ ንምፍራስ ብዘይሕንከት ፅምዶ መስሪትና ኣለና ዝበሉ ጉጅለ ድሕረትን መሻርኽቶምን ንመደባት ስርዓት ህግደፍ ከሳስዩ ድሕሪ ምፅንሖም ሎሚ ለይቲ መዕርፎ ነፈርቲ መቐለ ፣ ኣኽሱምን ሽረን ብምቁፅፃር አብ ሓለዋ ተዋፊሮም ንዝነበሩ ኣባላት ፌደራል ፖሊስ ዓፊኖም ብምውሳድ ካብን ናብን ኣገልግሎት መጓዓዝያ ነፈርቲ ትግራይ ሙሉእ ብሙሉእ ንኽቋረፅ ምኽንያት ኮይኖምለው። ብዘይካ'ዚ ብኹሉ ኣንፈት ስሩዕ ውግእ ኣብ ልዕሊ ወተሃደራዊ ትሕዝቶ ፌደራል ሎሚ ወጋሕታ መጠነ ሰፊሕ መጥቃዕቲ ጀሚሮም ከምዘለው'ውን ተረጋጊፁ'ሎ። እዚ ኩናት ብግዳማውያን ሓይልታት ዝተመወሰን ዝምራሕን እንትኸዉን ብፖለቲካዊ መትከልን መቦቆላዊ ባህርያቶምን ፍፁም ሰነያ ዘይብሎም ሓይልታት ምዃኖም ጥራሕ ዘይኮነስ ገሊኦም ንግዝኣታዊ ሓድነት ትግራይ ፍፁም ዘይቕበሉ ፤ ኣብ ልዕሊ ህዝብና ሰፍ ዘይብል በደል ምስ ዝፈፀሙ ሓይልታት ተላፊኖም ወሊዖሞ ዘለው ውግእ ምዃኑ ከፍለጥ ይግባእ። ህዝቢ ትግራይ ናይ አየር መጓዓዝያ ምቁራፅ ስዒቡ - ግልግሎት ስልኪ፡ ባንክን ካልኦት ህዝባዊ ግልጋሎታትን ንኸይቋረፁ ኣብ ከቢድ ሻቕሎት ኣብ ዘለወሉ እዋን እቲ ዱሑር ጉጅለ ግን ንዞም ኣገልግሎታት ንምቁራፅ መደብ ሒዙ ከምዘሎን ፤ ድሓር ከም ኣመሉ 'ሓርገፅ ንብዓት ብምቕራብ ንህዝብናን ንማሕበረሰብ ዓለምን ከደናግር ይፅዕር ኣሎ። እዚ ብጉጅለ ድሕረትን መላፍንቱን ጀሚሩዎ ዘሎ ኩለ መዳይ ውግእ ንህዝቢ ትግራይ ዘይውክል ብውሑዳት ግን ድማ ናይ ግዳማውያን ሓይልታት ድሌትን ኣጀንዳን ምዃኑ ክፍለጥ ይግባእ። ሰራዊት ትግራይ በቲ ሐዚ ጀሚርካዮ ዘለኻ ናብ አሕዋትና ሓይሊ ሰላም ትግራይ ኣይንትኩስን ፤ እዚ ውግእ እዚ ኣጀንዳ ተጋሩ ዝሓዘ ውግእ ኣይኮነን ብምባል ትወስዶ ዘለኻ ናይ ባዕልኻ ኣማረፂ ኣጠናኺርካ ከትቅፅለሉ ዲሞከራሲያዉ ዉድብ ስምረት ይፅውዕ። እዚ ውግእ 'ዚ ንህዝቢ ትግራይ ብሓፈሻ ነቶም ካብ ድሌቶም ወፃኢ ብሓይሊ, ተገፊፎም ኣትዮም ዘለው መናእሰይ ትግራይ ድማ ብፍላይ ፤ ከቢድ ጉድኣት ካብ ምስዓብ ሓሊፉ ንጠጃእቲ እቲ ውግእ ዘይረከብን ናብ ዘይዛሪ ከቢድ ውግእ ዘጥሕል ብምዃኑ ህይወትካ ንምድሓን ክትቃለስ ይግባእ። እዚ ውግእ'ዚ ፤ ንብሄረ ትግራይ ከም ህዝቢ ዝበትንን ቁጠባዊ ዓቕምታና ዘድቅቐን ብምዃኑ መላእ ህዝብና ደቁ ህይወቶም ከድሕኑሉ ዝኽእሉሉ ኩሉ ዕድል ክጥቀሙ ከምዕድን በቢ ከባቢኡ ነዚ እኩይ ተግባር ከተዉግዝን ይግባእ። ጉጅለ ድሕረት ሰብ ዝግልገለሎም ትካላት ኣብያተ ትምህርቲ ከምኡ 'ዉን ኣብ መንበሪ ገዛዉቲ ተተኮስቲ እናኸዘነ ህዝብና ንሓደጋ ክቃላዕ ይሰርሕ ስለዘሎ ህዝቢ ልዑል ጥንቃቐ ኽገብር እናተሓሳሰብና ብፍላይ ድማ አብ ከተማታት ዝነብር ህዝብና ንሶም ካብ ዘለዉዎ ከባቢታት ክርሕቕን ዓርሱ ተናቢቡን ተወዲቡን ኣንፃር እቲ ጉጅለ ክቃለስ ፃውዒትና ነቕርብ። ኣብ መወዳእታ ኣብ መላእ ዓለም ትርከቡ ተጋሩን ፈተዉቲ ትግራይን ፣ ፌደራል መንግስትን ማሕበረሰብ ዓለምን እዚ ተወሊዑ ዘሎ ውግእ ከም ህዝቢ ናብ ዝኸፍአ ህልቂትን ቅልዉላዉን ዘእትዉ ብምዃኑ እዚ ተወሊዑ ዘሎ ኣጀንዳ ውግእ ኣጀንዳ ህዝቢ ትግራይ ዘይምዃኑ ከትግንዘቡን ንዚ ካብ ኩናት ወፃኢ ዘይነብር ገበነኛ ጉጅለ ናብ ሕጊ ንምቕራብ እጃምኩም ከተበርክቱን ንህዝብና ክትበፅሑሉን ውድብ ዲሞክራስያዊ ስምረት ትግራይ ይፅውዕ። ኩናት ፣ ሞትን ስቓይን ወገናትና የብቅዕ! ዘልኣለማዊ ዝኽሪ ንስውኣትና ! ዲሞክራስያዊ ስምረት ትግራይ 13 መስከረም 2019 ዓ.ም.
