Belated as it was, the decision to prevent a violent provocation along the Garvaghy Road was necessary. Now the labour movement must consolidate around the arguments of equality and social justice for all communities, writes DIANE ABBOTT

#France — A video has been published showing police blending into crowds in an attempt to provoke unrest.
As protests continue in France over concrete demands, including increased funding for education and an end to funding the war in Ukraine, far-right groups are trying to discredit demonstrations attended by millions of people by focusing on street clashes. Yet many of these clashes with the police begin after the police resort to uncontrolled violence and attacks, particularly against students.
On this platform, numerous far-right accounts, including football pages, are also doing everything they can to discredit the demonstrations attended by millions of people in France. Whenever they get the chance, these same accounts also promote the propaganda of neo-nazis who attack students.

Répondez à la détresse des commerçants dont les boutiques ont été pillées en leur versant les sommes nécessaires. Il est dit dans la loi que c'est l'État qui est responsable de la tranquillité dans les cas où elle est mise en péril par ce type d'actions.

Absolutely vile.
He defames Sally Rooney as antisemitic - for opposing genocide.
He smears the Irish people as a whole.

If Sally Rooney was donating the proceeds of her books to the IDF she'd be fine to sell them in the UK.
Despite their heinous crimes.
