Great privilege to be shown Medieval Women by @NottmTrentUni Dr Natasha Hodgson who was on the Advisory Board for @britishlibrary where I discovered Christine de Pizan who in early 15th Century was publishing books on the importance of women in history and society. Do visit!

No snow, but a golden gloom descending over Gloucestershire as December 25th approaches. Happy Christmas to all NTU colleagues, students, alumni, friends and partners who follow me on X. And also to all those who are just curious.
Our pre Winter Festival pagan trail in Shropshire took us today to Mitchell’s Fold stone circle which is at the centre of a cluster of barrows, cairns and standing stones. Tremendously atmospheric and enormously enriched by the expertise of our youngest
Massive parental pride as @IngridMBarker and I visit @shrewsburymuseum to see the very evocative and equally informative exhibition Sun & Fire: Bronze Age Shropshire. Sometimes less is just more. If anywhere near, do go! I was especially taken with The Sun Horse

The ninth - and first in person - meeting of the Mental Health Taskforce opened at @educationgovuk today with a much appreciated message of encouragement and support from the Minister with whom it transpires I share the honour of having been Chair of Sandwell Children’s Trust
I am very appreciative of the support that Minister Smith has shown to the work of the Mental Health Taskforce and I remain indebted to all its members who have been so committed and constructive as we pursue steps that will make sure all students thrive at university
