For the first time, papers born from Bittensor have been accepted into a workshop at @NeurIPSConf — the citadel of machine learning research. And not one, but two: "Incentivizing Permissionless Distributed Learning of LLMs" (Gauntlet) and "Communication Efficient LLM Pre-Training With SparseLoCo", presented by @covenant_ai research in San Diego, Dec 6.
This is the first step of decentralized training research entering into the global academic arena.

We can iterate very fast on decentralized networks now.
The tools are being built on Bittensor that allow us to upgrade protocol incentives 10 times per day and hundreds of times per month.
And with subnets running multiple mechanisms we will be able to A/B test monetary regimes and incentive curves like normal products.
For instance, below is the last 3 weeks of training runs on Templar. Here optimization speed is measured in run count not protocol releases by new tokens protocols
We're converging on a future where we can program production economic regimes like we spin off coding agents.
