Between 2008-2021, point 37 has dropped almost 10k in real terms. Compare Grade 8 today to Grade 7 in 2008. Pay has degraded so much in real terms that we have dropped an entire grade.
The Hay method of job grading/evaluation has something to say about this, I suspect.

Great news on TRP inquiry! Didn't FT Ed Board say (2019) 'An independent inquiry should scrutinise the handling of the USS valuation by all key players, including the Pensions Regulator.' Surely UUK with their boasts of influencing regulation will jump at chance to support?
It seems Jane has also managed to force an enquiry into @TPRgovuk with the help of her MP, @zarahsultana. I presume we'll hear more about this in due course. #USSmess

Please support @nm_davies and @ewanmcg's heroic efforts to attempt to get @USSPensions before the courts! USS behave as if they are unaccountable to all (bar the pensions regulator). They need to stand scrutiny.
