Hello. Recognize my authority. I am Jewish. And also, I am white. Did you know I am Jewish? I am the sole arbiter on what the movement for Palestine should look like. Recognize my authority. My latest, for jacobin ๐Ÿ‘‡

Important flag from a comrade who hits the nail on its head. Itโ€™s not just ultra-left lunacy โ€” itโ€™s just not normal at all. And honestly? That hits the nail on its head. I will be putting a motion forward to imprison all NYC-YDSA members for wrecking our project.
You can't tweet shit like 'bombard NYC-DSA' and then get mad when people say your general faction or tendency needs to be more normal.

Focus on your Zionist Mayor whoโ€™s allowing the NYPD to collaborate with ICE and brutalize protesters led by a billionaire genocidal freak who he supports fully! Not random posters!

all the replies under this post are like โ€œwhat is he supposed to do??โ€ ect which given the abundance of clarity of demands tbat all major NYC Palestine orgs have issued furthers the point most of you are not real people who matter in any capacity. Learn to read and think.
Some people have this idea that since Mamdani is theoretically and rhetorically โ€œPro-Palestineโ€ or โ€œAnti-Zionistโ€ that means we should not organize, pressure, or to hold him accountable for failing to take material action for Palestine What a profoundly bad theory of change

These people say both these things at once โ€ข Mamdani is powerless bc of powerful capitalist / Zionist lobby itโ€™s not his fault โ€ข He is pro Palestine and give him time again, the logical end result of this is just pacification and celebrity worship.

๐ŸงตNo Politician is Above Critique Our Demand for Tangible Action from Mayor Mamdani On Wednesday, October 7, 2026, working-class students and community members took to the streets to protest three years of accelerated genocide against the Palestinian people. What followed was a frenzied effort to stifle our outcry and an attempt to paint the united, Palestinian-led front as "fringe," "psy-ops," "not representative of the electoral base," or "ultra-left." But while Mayor Zohran Mamdani engages in acts of political theater, our demands have been simple and consistent: we call for a stop to the sale of stolen Palestinian land, disbandment of the Strategic Response Group (SRG) that terrorizes our community, removal of Zionist Jessica Tisch as Commissioner, and CUNY's divestment from war and settler-colonial funding. We reject those who say that we are unrealistic and impatient, and that Mayor Mamdani is doing all he can. Let us be clear: no politician is above critique. Mayor Mamdani achieved his success because of our movements; without our communities, he has no base. We reject analysis that values words โ€” no matter how eloquent or sleekly deployed โ€” over tangible action. Our campaigns and demands are designed with a clear goal in mind: to starve the genocidal Zionist entity of its material base in the imperial core, including by targeting the torrent of money, weapons, and settlers that flows from New York City. It is in that spirit that we applauded then-Assembly Member Mamdani in pushing for the Not on Our Dime Act in 2021. And it is in that spirit that we protest his unacknowledged and inexplicable failure to take concrete action now.ย Until the mayor uses his formidable powers to follow through on the movement's demands, we will not celebrate symbolic wins. We commend the Mayor for rejecting AIPAC money. However, when he unveils a $26 Million "Anti-Semitism Strategy" โ€” which feeds on AJC statistics tying anti-semitism to pro-Palestine speech, and guarantees escalated policing by the NYPD โ€” his words ring hollow. As Mayor of New York, Mamdani occupies a seat that is by design complicit in suffering and violence. His seat was red before he even sat in it. The Mayor has been clear about the limits of his power, and what he cannot do. However, he has failed to answer as we and other New Yorkers call on him, time and again, to respond to the demands that are indisputably within his control. 1) Mayor Mamdani CAN apply pressure to stop the illegal sale of stolen Palestinian land. It is within the Mayor's power to call on the New York State Attorney General to investigate, audit, and stop illegal Palestinian land sale events that violate state, federal, and international law. 2) Mayor Mamdani CAN hold houses of worship and organizations accountable for violations. It is within the Mayor's power to revoke the local tax-exempt status of non-profit organizations that participate in illegal Palestinian land sales. 3) Mayor Mamdani CAN disband the Strategic Response Group (SRG) and remove Zionist Police Commissioner Jessica Tisch. The Mayor has primary command over the NYPD. SRG arrested hundreds who protested Netanyahu's visit, has repeatedly collaborated with ICEโ€”most recently in the Bronx last Thursdayโ€”and continues to brutalize protesters at illegal Palestinian land sales. The Mayor must act on his promises and disband this force immediately. Since the so-called "War on Terror," our communities have been criminalized, coerced, and fear-mongered into believing that the only way to gain power is via electoral positions. Twenty-five years later, we reject this. We will no longer accept concessions and normalization when genocide and war wages on in our home countries. We no longer accept the racist, Islamophobic notions of the "Good Muslim" or "Good Arab." We will no longer be forced to accept that the only way we will win is by having the most "left, Palestine-friendly mayor" in the history of New York City. 1/4

Shout out @nycDSA Steering, who thinks it's appropriate to force YDSA members to pull out of an action. I'm glad you think everyone should be spineless the same way you are. Gotta make sure to not embarass the near 6 figure Co chairs by having political principles!

Itโ€™s fucked. Itโ€™s all so G-d damn fucked. Israel has won a total cultural victory against the left. Judaism and Zionism seem now to be tied together in the minds of leftists. I find there to be no place for people such as myself in online leftist circles. This sucks.

๐Ÿšจ๐ŸšจWe are screaming at the top of our lungs. We are sounding the alarm. We need to get back to work๐Ÿšจ๐Ÿšจ chuffed.org/pay/campaign/019โ€ฆ Just yesterday, three young men were killed in a fight over drinking water. People are so deprived of the most basic necessity of life, that they are now dying trying to access it. The situation in Gaza is desperate, and it is quickly deteriorating. People need water. They need food. They need the basic essentials required to stay alive. And The Sameer Project needs to be able to respond. But we do not have consistent funding to operate at the capacity Gaza demands. And yet people are waiting, they need our assistance. We need monthly donors. Consistency allows us to plan. Gaza needs stability. And in a place where almost everything has been made uncertain, your monthly donation allows us to show up not just today, but tomorrow. Please sign up to become a monthly donor today: $5, $10, $25, $50, $100 - whatever you can commit to consistently. And then send this to everyone you know. Ask your friends. Ask your family. Ask your coworkers. Ask your community to sign up with you. We are sounding the alarm because this is critical now. Monthly giving means daily survival. Help us get back to work. Scan and become a monthly donor to our Food and Water Campaign. Yes we were informed of this yesterday and were extremely heartbroken. The Sameer Project has the ability to scale up water, all we need is funding. Help us do more than half a million liters of water. We beg you. Things are bad in Gaza, really really bad. Support now: chuffed.org/project/help-us-โ€ฆ
The situation really is on verge of exploding here in Gaza. Today 3 people died fighting over water. People are extremely desperate, tired and defeated. Water is becoming increasingly valuable like gold.

I find the โ€œwoke 1 was crazyโ€ thing is pretty distasteful. We watched George Floyd get murdered on video, as he screamed and cried for his mother. The politics that came in response to that was an honest way of trying to combat the institutions that produced that outcome.
AOC on Francesca Hong's old tweets calling for abolishing prisons and the police: "Woke 1 was crazy."
