Since it's all in YAML config, standard tooling works: git diff shows exactly what tools were added/removed/modified between versions.

Good catch on safety! Actually, it's opt-in by design - processes only become MCP tools/resources if you explicitly add an mcp: section to them. No mcp: attribute = not exposed to AI, period. So it's default-deny out of the box.
