BREAKING: The Space Force is building a global missile-warning web in orbit designed to detect ballistic launches, follow maneuvering hypersonic weapons, and maintain their tracks across the planet. That architecture has now cleared two major development milestones. L3Harris ($LHX) completed the preliminary design of 18 new low-Earth-orbit satellites for SDA’s Tranche 3 Tracking Layer. They will join a planned 72-satellite network split among L3Harris, Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman and $RKLB, creating near-continuous coverage from LEO beginning in FY2029. Higher above Earth, BAE Systems cleared the critical design review for a separate $1.2 billion system of 10 medium-orbit satellites and its ground command network, allowing the program to advance toward production. The two layers are designed to work together: MEO sensors scan enormous regions of Earth, while the denser LEO network follows threats with greater speed and precision as they move across the globe. This emerging architecture points toward a future in which the United States can detect a missile from space, maintain custody as it maneuvers, and rapidly feed that track into its defensive network.

Rumor is that anthropic is close to solving the PJM interconnection queue. They plan to announce it at their IPO. They really hope someone else doesn't try and scoop them and release it first......

normies complaining in replies don’t realize this is a FANTASTIC thing for US manufacturing they’re missing the important part: guaranteed POs far too many apex customers, especially automotive (ask me how I know), pressure suppliers to sign Production Supply Agreements that allocate a minimum dedicated capacity for them without guaranteeing they’ll actually buy anything that puts suppliers in a brutal spot. hard to justify a new machine, building, or sometimes even headcount when the demand can disappear overnight. guaranteed POs change that… when you are turning down new work, but have guarantees in your back pocket, you can finance against the demand, forecast around it, and actually go build more capacity. this is how domestic manufacturing capacity grows MORE
Talked to one of my steel suppliers today regarding the lack of availability of structural beams bigger than 16in (they're all being bought up for data centers): Me: "This can't possibly last too much longer, right?!" Supplier: "We have guaranteed POs out to 2030." MFW --

BREAKING: Rocket Lab $RKLB has unveiled a new solar cell that is 40% lighter and eliminates the need for germanium, a critical mineral facing growing supply constraints. The new IMM Apex converts 31.5% of incoming solar energy into electricity while delivering best-in-class power per kilogram. The cell is designed as a direct replacement for conventional germanium-based space solar cells, which means satellite manufacturers can adopt it without redesigning their power systems. Rocket Lab already supplies solar technology powering more than 1,100 satellites, as well as missions including the James Webb Space Telescope, Artemis, and Ingenuity on Mars. The company is now scaling IMM Apex to multi-100-kilowatt production as satellite constellations and eventually orbital data centers continue to drive dramatically higher demand for power in space.

Re: Space Academy A lot of people are missing this, they think it is a Space Force Academy, an astronaut feeder school, or a civil servant factory. In reality it is all of those things and none of those things– it is an attempt, the first, to define what the space profession actually is, to bound the field, fuse the many metals of disciplines in space: engineering, science, policy, biology, leadership, into a single alloy. To mint leaders, stronger than the sum of the parts of their studies. Space as a domain is inherently polymathic, right now space professionals are discretely quantized into engineers, scientists, operations, the academy should produce graduates who blur these lines. Many more thoughts in the coming days from me and @TheAmericanSLS This project is deeply important to the future of our country and human civilization. It could be one of the greatest force multipliers we can develop.

I agree. The space economy will dwarf the planetary economy in about 30 years. And yes I understand the amount of money involved. It is the largest economic expansion in history.
It will be much bigger

I will not be tracking this incident and think no one should assist them for free. Harmony took advantage of people who assisted during the $100M Harmony Bridge exploit by DPRK in 2022 and rewarded $0 for significant freezes which lead to LE seizures and simply said “good job”

Can’t say what. Can’t say why. Can’t give details. But within 24 hours of being briefed, @SECNAV @HungCao_VA cleared the single biggest bottleneck in U.S. shipbuilding. Should’ve been fixed years ago. Nobody else in the Pentagon grasped it. Nobody would give the top cover. BOOM. Believe It or Not!

Prediction: We won’t have UBI. We’ll have UCI. (universal credit income, or whatever else it might be called) Assuming labour will cease to exist, governments will have to pay you money, for you to fulfill the consumption side of the economic equation. While everyone believes that people will get an equal paycheck similar to stimulus payments, I believe it’ll be akin to airdrops, where each person is credited based on their behavior, actions, social score, etc. TL;DR: take the chinese social credit system and combine it with UBI.

I’m telling you Jane Street is just another intelligence agency front.
Jane Street’s founder accidentally wired $7M for AK-47s, Stinger missiles and RPGs to overthrow the South Sudan government. He said he thought it was humanitarian aid. The coup plotter told federal agents his money made the whole thing possible. No charges. Back to trading.

.@Jason said 10+ times that he only knew Epstein in the 90s. He was actually helping Epstein through the 2000s and 2010s, even after the child sex trafficking conviction. Man starts VR company, donates to Trump: "Total moron, no moral compass!" Man rapes children: "hey pal!"

This is Mostly true, but I'm trying to imagine an influencer knocking at the door of the Montessori my toddler goes to. They don't even let us take photos if other kids are there, so I don't think they'd be happy about an influencer camera. Also they already have full enrollment, so it's not like they'd do more business. The Somali daycare are ofc fraud, but not sure this intuitive litmus test works for daycares
