The DHS memo shows Ilhan is under criminal and civil investigation for false statements on passport applications and falsely claiming U.S. citizenship. The investigation started over eight months ago.
Homeland Security Investigations asked the State Department for certified, unredacted copies of every passport application she has ever filed, plus all supporting documents that identify her parents. The memo states she may also be subject to civil denaturalization.
