Eugenio Chacarra on LIV Golf.
(Quotes from the start of last year)
“I see what it’s like to win on the PGA Tour and how your life changes, how you get major access and ranking points. On LIV, nothing changes, there is only money. It doesn’t matter if you finish 30th or first, only money.”
“I’m not a guy who wants more money. What will change my life is playing in Hawaii and qualifying for the majors, qualifying for the Masters, the Ryder Cup.”
What a @PGATOURAmericas season! Congrats to "the 10". Great golfers, better people! 👏🏽🙌🏽🏆

Well I’m not really sure how we ended up in a world where there are updates that the notable names of Brendan Steele, Cam Tringale, Richard Bland and Ben Campbell are joining a failing golf league but it’s truly a hilarious timeline
🚨✅⛳️ #UPDATE — 3-time PGA Tour winner Brendan Steele is believed to be committed to LIV Golf 2.0, with the 43-year old HyFlyers GC member having said back in August: “I’m committed to being here… This is where I want to be. This has been home to me for the last four years, it’s been great. I’m happy to stay.”
Steele would join a trio of players who have pledged their allegiance to the league, including Richard Bland, Cameron Tringale & Ben Campbell.
Will you be tuning in?
Muy be remembered as the most stupid decision in the history of sports.
Jon Rahm and LIV Golf have reached a separation agreement, with Rahm surrendering more than nine figures that was still left on his LIV deal.

The problem with LIV bots and mercenaries is precisely this: they can’t tell the difference between investing $2 million in an event and recouping that investment through TV exposure, attendance, and other returns, versus throwing $5 billion at a worthless product no one cares
Totally agree
🚨🗣️🇪🇺 #NEW — Joost Luiten is pushing back against the return of LIV Golfers to the DPWT: “They made a decision to go after the money. And now all of a sudden, the money is gone and they want to come back and act like nothing happened. I don’t think that’s right.” (Via @TheTodaysGolfer)
You agree with Joost?

Mexicans, follow the Spanish path and turn off the lights
🚨❌🇪🇸 JUST IN — David Puig has decided to leave LIV Golf and is set to exit the league as he turns his attention to the DP World Tour. The Spaniard looks to be following in the footsteps of fellow countrymen Jon Rahm & Sergio Garcia.

🚨😮⛳️ #UPDATE — Lawyers representing Bryson DeChambeau, Cam Smith, Ben An, Marc Leishman, Cameron Tringale, Matthew Wolff, and Harold Varner III reportedly attempted to seek clarity today as to whether the Sergio Garcia contract termination can serve as precedent for other golfers also looking to explore other playing opportunities.

In the end, Jon Rahm finishes his LIV tenure with 11 major starts, 0 wins, 4 top-10s and 2 MCs.
In the 3 years before LIV, Rahm made 12 major starts, had 7 top-10 finishes, 0 missed cuts and, yes, 2 major wins.
His age 29-31 seasons featured just one top-5 finish at a major.

I think its now safe to say that Jon Rahm going to LIV in December of 2023 was one of the dumbest decisions in golf history
if you are going to comment "but bro he got the bag" you are truly too dense to even argue with
Breaking: Jon Rahm will not be participating in LIV 2.0. Rahm's representation just announced his decision on the LIV Golf bankruptcy hearing that is still happening currently. @TheAthletic
