Data Commissioner Immaculate Kassait, MBS this morning joined a discussion on High Data Protection Standards during the the Global Privacy Assembly (GPA) @PrivacyAssembly
She highlighted the importance of Data Protection Authorities engaging stakeholders in the development and implementation of high data protection standards.
Underscoring Kenya’s approach in promoting compliance through industry based Guidance Notes that go through public participation, she noted that the Office issues Enforcement and Penalty Notices for non-compliance with data protection principles.
