Just finished John Grisham’s latest book, ‘The French Illusion’. Another good read from one of my favorite authors. Definitely enjoyed this one!
What a great day at the Mehlville Learning Summit! Enjoyed sharing lessons from Ted Lasso about leadership, relationships, and school culture alongside some wonderful colleagues. So many lessons we can take from the show and apply to education. Believe!
21 miles today as I continue preparing for the Indianapolis Marathon on November 8. Today's run was challenging, especially toward the end, but I felt pretty good when I finished. Looking forward to seeing how all this training pays off on November 8!
A perfect way to start the day—catching up with friends and colleagues at MHS! Always great to see so many familiar faces!

Finished ‘Shackleton’s Way’ by Morrell & Capparell. Lots of good lessons abt leadership & perseverance. A line that stuck w/me: “Leadership is a fine thing, but it has its penalties. And the greatest penalty is loneliness.” Leadership can be rewarding, but it can also be lonely.
A good evening presenting to the Board of Education and sharing some of the great things happening in our school. I also enjoyed sharing the evening with colleagues from another school. Proud of the work being done for kids and grateful for the opportunity to share our story.
A fun morning of learning with principal friends from across the region! Always great to connect, share ideas, and learn from one another. Grateful for opportunities like this to keep growing as a school leader.
Enjoyed hearing @TedHiff speak today at our SLSEPA meeting about parent engagement. A great reminder that meaningful family engagement is built on relationships, trust, and creating genuine opportunities for parents to be part of the school community.
After weeks of setbacks and some disappointing runs, progress was made today. 15 miles.
Marathon training has definitely tested me, but today was a reminder to keep showing up and keep moving forward.
Finished Introduction to the Spiritual Life by Brant Pitre. A thoughtful reminder that the spiritual life is not simply about knowing our faith, but living it—through prayer, virtue, and the daily effort to become the person God calls us to be. A worthwhile read.
