I've spent the last 9 months reading Hegel's Phenomenology of Spirit. It is an incredible (but dense!) work which constantly asks the reader to reflect on how they learn and know things. Hegel showed me that learning is a journey, and the steps along the way shouldn't be ignored.

Hegel has taught me to see the value in each stage of learning, whether that be in my work, aquiring a new skill, or in my life generally. Mistakes, failures, and old outlooks/opinions shouldn't be disregarded, but rather acknowledged and used to build towards something better.

Reading the Phenomenology of Spirit and getting to know Hegel has been a really challenging, but rewarding experience. Special thanks to @donaldnboyce for hosting the best philosophy book club ever and being so patient and welcoming to a philosophy noob like me!
